As our beautiful Regional South Australia is starting to welcome visitors again - many will consider staying at caravan parks and camping grounds. Please check out the factsheets for more information. https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/recovery Situation from 11 May 2020 Caravan parks and camping sites (whether associated with caravan parks or located in national or state parks) can provide accommodation, despite the restrictions on some businesses and activities that are currently in force. From 11 May 2020, non-essential regional travel within South Australia is encouraged, which may result in more people staying in caravan parks and camping grounds. Caravan parks and associated camping grounds: Must: Limit the number of people on site to 1 person per 4 square metres (density requirement) Limit any gatherings on site to a maximum of 10 attendees For swimming pools or play equipment on site, follow the requirements that apply to public facilities (including density and maximum user numbers) Should: Observe, and encourage observing of, social distancing (1.5 metres rule) Facilitate good hand and respiratory hygiene, as much as possible Frequently clean and disinfect facilities, including shared kitchens and bathrooms Implement signage to support compliance with current restrictions and advice Operators and users of camp grounds in national and state parks should follow the above requirements as much as possible, recognising that cleaning and disinfection of share facilities is unlikely to occur on a frequent basis.
