24.01.2022 Along with all the excitement about Kaszazz being recreated it is all time for our new catalogue which is being released Saturday/Sunday. Not sure what will be in it, imagine we will have two paper designs, stamps stencils and who knows what else. Let the countdown begin

23.01.2022 Stamping Tip with Dot Let's have a chat. I've been thinking this week about the Catastrophe Scale. You know the one?... Where you rate from 1 - 100 how bad something is? One being the lowest, maybe a splinter. And 100 perhaps being equivalent to a Tsunami. It is a great way to put things into perspective. Sometimes the fear of failure (Tsunami) being apprehensive (Tsunami) or comparing ourselves to others (Tsunami) are very real things that can stop us from giving something a go. I say to you ... How do you know that you are going to fail if you haven't given it a go yet? It's okay to be apprehensive (but no one is watching, so don't be afraid). How will anyone ever know that we aren't actually Michelangelo? Turn it into a "Splinter" When you decide how big a catastrophe one of your crafting fears actually is, then you are able to conquer your fear ... Amazing things WILL happen. You will see what to do differently next time. You will see where you might need to practice a technique another 100 times. You will see how the products work! You will see whether it is for you or not. Who we think are the best of the best at crafting are always ... Learning!!! Practicing!!!! Throwing things in the bin!!! Covering up their work with more products!!! Starting over!!! Their judgments are low on the catastrophe scale. Splinters. Be kind to yourselves. Aim for a "Splinter"!!!

23.01.2022 Have you had a chance to look at the latest release Greetings from Australia? I actually love it! The papers look cool and as for the stamps they will be so much fun to work with (yes I love Australiana) Wombat is the cutest with Emu being the cheekiest. Will be putting in an order this Sunday is anyone is wanting anything, message me !! (I basically have no telephone service, so phone calls are useless)

20.01.2022 What???. Really what does that mean. Well for customer's everything is pretty much the same, we are still offering the same beautiful Australian Made Paper, stamps etc, and also some international products such as Ranger and Crafter's Companion. The changes are more to do with being a consultant. As a consultant you will no longer have to reach a minimum requirement to stay a consultant and you do not have to be exclusive to Kaszazz. If you would like to know more have a read here https://t.apemail.net/c/nqkqkaahkfjaebcudibvmaabdibqovksdih then contact me to have a chat.. I would love to have you on my team. :)

19.01.2022 Stamping Tip with Dot Today I thought I would chat about how to add white stamping to your painty surfaces, particularly in art journals. You can of course use white ink. The common reaction to this is that it comes out a little translucent.... It may not be the look that you are after. You can also stamp with white paint. This technique requires a little practice. If you press too hard it can squeeze the paint out and you might not end up with what you thought you would get. If this happens, simply wipe the paint away with a baby wipe before it dries. Problem solved! Or for a lovely crisp and clean white image try stamping with Embossing Ink (Versamark) and sprinkling with white embossing powder. Melting it with your heat tool. Please make sure that your painty background is thoroughly dry first as the embossing powder sticks to anything that is moist. Happy Stamping See more

11.01.2022 Stamping Tips with Dot This week I thought I would have a quick chat about Distress Oxides and what you can expect to happen when you use them. When you use Distress Oxides and then add water it has the effect of fading the intensity of the colour.... The more water you use, the more fading that occurs. This is, in essence, the oxidizing process. The colour doesn't change with water, it merely fades. This gives you total control over the colour intensit and allows you to create some really awesome effects. When you use one colour, then heat set it, the colour is set and wont reactive as Distress Ink does. You can then add another colour over the top, it again with a heat tooland the colour will sit over the top of first colour - without reactivating it. What is fantastic about this is that you can combine any colour you want without having to worry about where they are on the colour wheel. Personally, I find that doing this 3 - 4 times is enough. Any more than that and the colours will eventually start to mix together and turn a brown-ish colour. See more

11.01.2022 Stamping Tip - thanks to Dot Have you ever tried to stamp with Gesso? It is a really interesting process. You treat it the same as you would paint. The way that I do it is to... spread it thinly onto the craft sheet and then stamp into it (loading your stamp with a thin layer of gesso) and then stamp onto your card stock. And dry. Things to remember are: 1/ It acts as a resist. This means that when you apply water based products to it the gesso will resist that product. Or wipe away easily. Ideal products to use are Distress Inks or sprays. 2/ Clean your stamp straight away in water so that the gesso doesn't set on your stamp. 3/ Choose your stamp carefully. If your stamp has intricate detail in it, the detail will be lost. 4/ You don't need to use a thick layer. The image will go 'squishy' looking if too much gesso is used. Personally I would do this with rubber stamps. I am not sure how it would go on acrylic stamps. The same applies if you are stamping with paint. If you have brushos, or other powder based products, you can colour the gesso to your desired colour! This will give you even more fantastic results. You could play with contrasting colours. Most of all have fun!!!

The new Greetings from Australia - Gum wreath paper by Kaszazz. with lots of second and third stamping, heat embossed flowers, using masking techniques. Then stamping and heat embossing again with Clear embossing powder on vellum to make the dimensional flowers and finished with bling in the centre. All stamping was done with Distress oxide inks - Pumice stone, Milled lavender, Carved pumpkin, Cracked pistachio and Abandoned coral. Love this photo of my granddaughter.
