15.01.2022 We have finished this amazing project with mixed emotions after losing our friend and builder Greg (Robbo) due to a workplace accident on a separate project. This was our hardest project to date. We hope the dwelling stands as a testament to the hard work and dedication that Greg put into his all of his projects, our thoughts will continue to be with Gregs wife, children, family and friends. This project came to us as the clients wanted to maximize their yield on the site bu...t while maintaining a private dwelling for themselves to enjoy. The dwellings have living and bedrooms on ground floor that open to private courtyards with large attached garages located at the rear of the property, entering from the street behind. The ground floor is connected to the first storey via a custom feature stair and lift that connect to an open plan kitchen, meals and living areas. The balconies have amazing ocean views that can be seen throughout the entire first floor. With the master bedrooms located at the rear of the dwellings to reduce noise to the sleeping areas of the dwellings, windows placement/style & size were key factors in design brief to take advantage of the ocean views to the north while maintaining a sustainable design. The main factor of the design are the external elements, emphasising on low maintenance materials that can handle the harsh marine environment. The feature blade wall has been constructed with an architectural weathering steel sheet that has an illuminated Danpal cut through. Other materials used on the project were custom architectural standing seam cladding on the first floors with a mixture of heavy materials such as Equitone and rendered brickwork on the ground floors. 11.01.2022 RB Building Design Pty Ltd were saddened to hear the news about Little George, after discovering a tennis ball sized tumour in his stomach. Katie (Mum) and George (Dad) travelled down to the Royal Childrens Hospital for a biopsy and they then spent a week there while doctors performed a series of tests. A meeting was scheduled for 18th of January, where they were giving the devastating news that George at 15 months of age has stage 4 Neuroblastoma, which had spread in two di...fferent spots (his right arm and leg). Little George has a long 18-month battle ahead of him, with many trips from their home in Creswick to Royal Childrens Hospital. Katie and George also have two older daughters, Lily (5) who is beginning school this year and Ava (3). Their lives will be put on hold for quite some time while little George fights this horrible disease. 07.01.2022 Last week the RB Building Design team attended The Arc Agency event in Melbourne. It was a fantastic evening where we discovered some new and up and coming suppliers which we intend to integrate into our designs in the future. Looking forward to going again next year!

03.01.2022 *RB Building Design Announcement to Covid-19* RB Building design have been carefully monitoring the situation unfolding in regard to Covid-19 and implementing appropriate management strategies. We have established and implemented a series of organizational initiatives designed to protect the health and well being of our staff, their families and everyone we work with including but not limited to our clients and suppliers.... At this point staff are working from our office in Wendouree, however we are fully prepared for all staff to work from home if required. We DO NOT anticipate that this will have an impact on our capacity to respond in a timely manner to our client’s requirements or our ability to provide professional services. We may however ask our staff to only attend meetings via video chats. This will be discussed with our clients and suppliers at the time of booking and this will be assessed on a case-to-case basis.
