12.01.2022 In case you thought Gladys Berejiklian and Dom Perrottet MP couldn’t be more cruel, they’re now proposing to EXTEND THE WAGE FREEZE by decreasing the wages cap.... It’s another incredible kick in the guts against nurses and midwives, and will put health workers on track for poverty wages that don’t keep up with inflation.

07.01.2022 The NSW government has backflipped on its own 1.5% public sector wages policy, returning to the 2.5% cap that never valued health workers. What’s more, the gov...ernment may still make nurses and midwives pay for their own super increase. There’s also no talk of safe staffing ratios in the Treasurer’s budget. Enough is enough. This government must listen to the needs of nurses, midwives and our communities.
