This is a "bio-blitz" style event, which aims to catalogue as much biodiversity as possible across the entire globe within a four-day period. This is the first time that Sydney has participated in this annual event, in which city's across the world compete to see who will top the leader board with the most observations and/or species identified (last year Cape Town was the winner).
