25.01.2022 Over the last couple of months we have restored in total 12 #heritagelisted #copper doors for a council in northwest #queensland the process involved building custom frames to Hold and rotate the doors as they weigh very close to 100kg each, we completely stripped the doors back to base metal and removed and polished all of the old brass trimmings and fully re-finished the copper sheeting on the body of the door, Using traditional bronzing methods to bring the doors back to h...ow they were when they had been installed originally. All parts are now coated in a hi grade 2pac clear finish to give them the longest possible lifespan before they need to be restored again.
