24.01.2022 We are using the COVID SAfe Check-in at our practice. As you enter please remember to: - don your surgical mask - use the hand sanitiser - and check-in with your phone (Note there is a paper version if you don't already have the app installed on your phone).... Thank you for your continued support, and understanding, as we navigate through the seemingly everchanging directives from SA Health. These images help to explain some of the Frequently Asked Questions about the app and check-in feature. For more information, visit: www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/business-and-work/covid-safe-check-in

23.01.2022 As everyone is aware by now, South Australia is heading into a 6 day lockdown from midnight tonight. We will be CLOSED for that period. If you had an appointment with us, please do not come in. We will try to contact you to arrange for a later date. If we can not contact you for some reason, then please wait until restrictions are lifted before trying to organise your next appointment. Thank you for your understanding and please stay SAFE.

23.01.2022 COVID-19 (corona virus) To our valued clients, SA Remedial Therapy Clinic is committed to providing a safe, clean and hygienic clinic for all clients and staff members. This has always been our number one priority and it will continue to be so during these difficult times. Of course our high standard of remedial massage treatments also rates highly in our priorities!... In the interest of health matters, I have put together some information regarding the current COVID-19 (corona virus) situation and in particular, how it impacts our clinic, and you. If and when the situation changes we will notify you of any new outcomes. It has always been our policy to treat all clients as though they are potentially contagious and therefore to limit any cross infection from client to client, or from therapist to client and vice versa. Disinfecting massage tables and face cradles, fresh towels and fresh face pieces, and washing of hands between each and every client is standard practice. To continue to provide an environment which is as safe as possible for you, and our team, we have however implemented a number of additional health and hygiene policies in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. These include adding hand sanitiser to the front desk, which you will be asked to use as soon as you enter the reception area. Also, before your treatment you will be asked the following questions:- Have you travelled internationally within the last 14 days? Have you spent time with anyone who is confirmed to have COVID-19? Have you any current cold or flu-like symptoms? IF your answer is YES to any of these questions then we kindly ask you to please reschedule your appointment with us at a later stage. e.g. after 14 days of self-quarantine and being symptom-free. Also, all staff will need to answer these questions, and comply accordingly! We also encourage you to exercise the following precautions for your general wellbeing: Cough and/or sneeze into your elbow Wash your hands regularly with soap, scrubbing for at least 20 seconds before rinsing Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose or mouth Use hand sanitiser regularly If you have any concerns or queries with regard to any upcoming appointments with SA Remedial Therapy Clinic, please contact reception on 8221 6262. Please be assured that we are monitoring the situation closely, and are staying up-to-date with current guidelines from the Department of Health and our Massage and Myotherapy Australia association. Stay safe, and thank you for your continued support.

12.01.2022 Covid-19 Update - Temporary Closure. We wish to inform all of our clients that we have temporarily closed our clinic in line with best health recommendations. When we will reopen depends on many factors, but you can rest assured that when the time comes we will be following all relevant hygiene protocols. We look forward to seeing all of you again in the (hopefully) not too distant future, and in the meantime stay safe, and look after yourselves and your loved ones.... 04.01.2022 NEW RULES REGARDING MASKS. To date, it's just been the practitioner who has needed to wear a mask when the 1.5m social distancing rule couldn't be achieved. That's about to change. As of tomorrow, Tues 1st December, both the practitioner and their clients are required to wear masks. Please bring your own mask along to appointments if you have one. There are some exemptions to the new rule which I am happy to discuss with you.... The main thing is for everyone to stay safe and get through this together. Cheers, Rob. See more

01.01.2022 I was privileged this week to attend a wet lab at the University of Adelaide to look beneath the skin on cadavers. As massage therapists we 'feel' muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones every day, but to actually see them and touch them, well that was something very special. We owe a great debt of gratitude to those people who donate their bodies to science so that I, and other health professional, can learn so much. The human body really is a complex machine, with all of its internal workings so finely tuned, and we all need to look after the one that we were given. Sorry, no photos allowed inside of the wet lab, so you will have to make do with these......
