25.01.2022 Our COVID Marshals are hard at work to help keep our community safe. COVID Marshals have been introduced to implement and monitor COVID directions and restricti...ons at the Centre. The SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre is a large facility to keep safe so we have a total of 6 COVID Marshals operating at any one time. Our Marshals are easily identifiable in high visibility vests. Each COVID Area Marshal provides support to the Centre COVID Marshal on duty. Let’s all do our part to help keep SA safe. See more

19.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Hot weather is heading our way this Friday and through the weekend with temperatures expected to reach 40C. Unfortunately, due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the pools are NOT open to the public for recreational swimming in the leisure pool or water play park. However, the lap pools are open for rehabilitation and fitness, (lap swimming). The advice from Recreation SA to avoid disappointment is to:... plan beforehand and make an on-line booking to attend for lap or rehabilitation swimming bring water and come properly prepared if you do visit WATCH AROUND WATER to keep safe We would love to see you for a lap or rehabilitation swim, and we value your business. However, we may unfortunately have to turn visitors away if they are not swimming for fitness or rehabilitation purposes. We can’t wait to see everyone again once these restrictions have been lifted. Stay hydrated and safe.

16.01.2022 Following Premier Stephen Marshall’s announcement today, The SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, operated by the YMCA, will review all information as it becomes availa...ble. Please standby for more information regarding the reopening of the Centre. We understand the new Emergency Services Directive (Directive 13) is to be published at 12am Saturday. This will provide guidance for our operations to possibly open on Sunday. As you can appreciate, we were all preparing for a six-day lock down. It is great that we have all played our part in only making it three. We are working hard to prepare our staff and the Centre. We aim to do this as quick as possible and have the Centre back up and operating. Please stand by. Your safety has been, and always will be, our top priority.

01.01.2022 Good afternoon, We eagerly await the Emergency Direction that will be delivered at some stage today. We know SAPOL, SA Health and all the SA Government teams are working hard to deliver a COVID safe and secure Centre. Whilst we wait for the new Emergency Direction, we also are awaiting the new COVID-19 Safety or Management plan. This will contain the SA Government unique SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre QR code. This will override all other contact tracing items. So, this is wha...t we know now. The Centre QR Code will be placed at each entrance as soon as they are available Each patron will need to download the mySA Gov app which will contain the QR Code Scanner (https://my.sa.gov.au/) Scanning via the QR code is mandatory If you do not have a phone, manual contact tracing is mandatory When we have the Emergency Directions, we will make the call on Swimming Lessons and Aqua classes (some may begin tomorrow, and some may begin on Wednesday). Stand by for more information as it becomes available. We also await the Emergency Direction on Recreation/Leisure Play swimming, Community sport and squad swimming. Thank you for your understanding. As it has been since March 23, we aim to reopen the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre safely, securely and with community safety in mind.
