10.01.2022 Oh no!!! Can winter really be over!! Today was so hot everyone, including Miss V not ready for another Queensland summer. Love how quickly Queenslanders cool down though by opening all veranda doors and windows!!

07.01.2022 I can’t say the first book of this trilogy was a cliff hanger!!, but I am very happy to have gotten my mits on number 2. First published in 1933, I can now find out what is happening to Beverley’s (ps he’s the author and a man by the way - gotta love the Victorians) ‘temporary’ housekeeper Mrs Wrench and his dog Whoops. Apparently old Bev gets electric lights in this dashing sequel as well as a new thatched roof!!!!! I can tell it’s going to be a positively spiffing read!!! TALLY HO
