25.01.2022 A Massive Big Thank You to all of Sacred Heart students and community for their fundraising efforts during Catholic Mission's Week. Together we raised $188.00 which will go towards supporting The Arrupe Centre in Cambodia.

25.01.2022 The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. (Dr Seuss) What a journey these students are on. They all received reading merits at this weeks assembly. Well deserved and keep up the wonderful work.

23.01.2022 Bossy 'e' tells the vowel to say it's long sound. Our clever Year one students are learning to use this rule. Fabulous work!!

22.01.2022 The students and staff of Sacred Heart School were introduced to Mr Nick Baird who will be the new Principal in 2021 of Sacred Heart School and replacing Mr Dallas Hyatt. We would like to welcome Nick and and his family to the Sacred Heart Learning Community and we look forward to working with Nick in 2021.

20.01.2022 Our K-2 students have been exploring how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures have made paints by mixing materials from the natural environment. Students investigated mixing "ochres" using chalk with different binding materials to determine the effects of different binders.

14.01.2022 Congratulations to these students for being named the weekly award winners for Week 4 Term 3. Enthusiastically performing health hustle, including VCOP in their writing or excellent work in number ordering were the reasons these students took home awards. We're very proud of your efforts.

14.01.2022 This week marks NAIDOC Week with the theme for this year "Always Was, Always Will Be". On Monday morning all students and teachers took part in a special prayer ceremony. On Friday the students will be completing a number of activities organised by Ms Wise.

13.01.2022 Sacred Heart Boggabri is looking for a new school principal! It's a great little primary school with so much to offer! We spoke to teachers and students (who we...re full of cuteness!) about what qualities they'd like in a new school principal and what the community of Boggabri has to offer! 12.01.2022 On Tuesday the Sacred Heart Students competed in their high jump competition for the athletics carnival. All children competed with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Well done to everyone involved. Next Tuesday they will compete in shot put and all other events will take place on Wednesday at the carnival. Unfortunately as parents are not allowed to attend we will upload photos from these events as they take place.

11.01.2022 Dedicated readers were once again awarded for their amazing effort in reading at home. Such an important thing for children to be reading everyday. Well done!

11.01.2022 Congratulations to these wonderful students for their perfect manners, artistic flair and dedication to their continued learning. They all received awards at our Weekly Assembly on Friday for week 3 Term 3.

10.01.2022 It was a "Pumpkin" theme for our wonderful Transition students on Friday. It was great to see all their creative skills at work. The transition program has been a wonderful preparation for Kindergarten next year. It is fantastic to see how much they enjoy being part of our Learning Community here at Sacred Heart.

07.01.2022 Have you noticed some changes in our front garden, here at Sacred Heart School? We are in the process of having our front garden renovated by the talented workers from Palmers Landscapes. Watch this space as the development continues.

04.01.2022 The Sacred Heart School Learning Community would like to congratulate Evie who's poem "Cotton" won the Kurrumbede Award in the Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Writing Competition. 03.01.2022 Remembrance Day saw the unveiling of our new ANZAC Memorial Garden. This project has been made possible through Veteran Affairs 'Saluting Their Service' Commemorative Grants program. Members of the local RSL Sub-Branch attended the unveiling. Each student dedicated one of the 41 poppies, with a personalised dog tag to a related or local serviceman or woman who they had researched and learnt about as part of their History lessons. Local business houses provided the majority of our supplies and special thank you goes to the Groves and Carrigan families for the design and construction for the garden. Students enjoyed ANZAC biscuits and lamingtons as a special treat after the ceremony.

02.01.2022 What better way to learn the ABC than to "be" the ABC. Our Friday buddies groups physically constructed the letters of the alphabet... either upper case or lower case. The only criteria was, all members of each group were to be involved. Some great leadership skills were demonstrated by our school leaders.
