Summer time can be so much fun in the Pilbara, there are lots of beautiful water holes around and it may be tempting to take our babies for a swim on a hot day.... BUT most areas surrounding Newman have aerial baits dropped at least once a year. 1080 bait is deadly for all domestic dogs. Once ingested there is nothing the vet can do to help your best friend so please please please check with the visitors centre before taking dogs to water holes... around Newman, they will be able to tell you if it is safe for them. If you are kind enough to foster our dogs please also check before taking them out. It is an extremely distressing way for your best friend to die so best to check first See more
