12.01.2022 Hello #Australia we now have Organic Dried #AfricanBreadfruit for sale. safejourneyfoods is proud to be the exclusive Australian Distributor of Phronesis Ukwa. It is available in 1.5kg and 600g pack sizes.... Directions for cooking: Our Ukwa/African Breadfruit product is dried and preservative free. All you need to do is to soak desired quantity in water for at least 5 hours (or before going to work or to bed) to rehydrate. When fully rehydrated it will double in size (e.g. 1 cup dry equivalent 2 cups after soaking). Rinse and change the water and cook either in pressure cooker or regular pot. You do not need to add potash/akaun for softening the ukwa as it will be soft already, plus we are eating healthier now If you really must add any softener due to personal preference, a good substitute is Bicarbonate of Soda which is available from the shops.
