22.01.2022 Know your signs...

22.01.2022 Due to the current situation. Safe Practice Driving School will suspend all driving lessons until further notice Stay home. Stay safe and stay positive!

22.01.2022 Increasing your speed - even by just a few kms - can significantly increase the risk of death or serious injury, to yourself or others. Stay under the speed limit and drive to the conditions.

20.01.2022 Know what to do when you hear a siren or see the flashing blue or red lights of an approaching emergency vehicle? When you hear a siren or see the flashing blu...e or red lights of an approaching emergency vehicle: * Give way to the emergency vehicle if you are stopped do not move until it is safe to proceed, even if the traffic light is green. If you are moving, you must slow down and stop if necessary to avoid a collision with the emergency vehicle. * Move out of the way as soon as you can safely do so * Move over as much as you can to the left-hand side of the road or, if possible, move onto the road shoulder or breakdown lane. On multi-lane roads, try to move into the left lane to let the emergency vehicle pass * Drivers on both sides of the road should be prepared to move out of the path of emergency vehicles * Emergency vehicles with sirens sounding or lights flashing responding to urgent situations are not required to follow the rules, as long as it is safe for them to do so. Drivers should always be extra cautious when they see flashing lights or hear sirens. https://roadsafety.transport.nsw.gov.au//approaching-emerg

14.01.2022 More students returned to school today which means more children are walking and riding near the road. Please stay under the 40km/h speed limit in school zones,... always keep a lookout and take extra care when dropping off or picking up children. Actively supervise your child, hold their hand when crossing the road and make sure they wear a helmet when riding. See more

08.01.2022 Hello, Im Lillian. Im in pawsession of social media for #InternationalDogDay Im here to remind you that there are a few things you should know about when t...ravelling with animals in vehicles. Like: A driver, motorcycle rider, bicycle rider or passenger must not lead an animal, including by tethering, while the vehicle is moving. That would be a ruff ride It is not paw-sible for a driver to drive with an animal in their lap A motorcycle rider must not ride with an animal between the handlebars and the rider - so no "lap dogs" For more info: https://nswroads.work/animalrules

03.01.2022 ** SCAM ALERT ** - Roads and Maritime Services have had reports that some customers are receiving unsolicited calls which promote compensation services for roa...d incidents. Scam callers are falsely identifying themselves as Roads and Maritime employees and request personal information from customers. The scam involves people incorrectly advising people they can receive a refund of up to $15,000 for out of pocket expenses associated with a road crash. The caller then suggests the customer will be connected to a superior officer to collect personal details. Roads and Maritime does not call people to request personal information nor has any authority to provide refunds to customers for expenses relating to a crash. Customers who receive calls promoting compensation services or requesting personal information should hang up immediately and report the call to NSW Police or to ScamWatch - www.scamwatch.gov.au.
