18.01.2022 One from the archives... new signage install at the Slater and Gordon offices. When working in Ballarat always make sure your platform is self-levelling for steep slopes Working with Signcraft here

17.01.2022 We often get enquiries about ACCREDITATION & TRAINING of Spotters. Here's a link to the ESV website about the registration procedures and the RTOs that can assist with the required training: https://esv.vic.gov.au//lineworkers-/spotter-registration/ To summarise you will need: > Energy Safe Victoria registration, and > Current First Aid and CPR documentation, and... > Ticket/s of Competency for the plant. If you already have all these tickets and you're seeking casual employment with us, don't hesitate to call or lodge a formal application here: https://safetyspotter.com.au/employment-opportunities/

17.01.2022 Close to the powerlines here... VERY close. Hence a Sunday power-shutdown (both LV & HV) required for this façade refresh being completed by KAH Maintenance Pty Ltd. The end result makes it all worthwhile. (Y) #nogozone #safetyfirst #HighVoltage #LowVoltage #PowerIsolation

05.01.2022 Just a timely reminder that some significant changes for all Victorian employers took effect in July 2020. Importantly OH&S obligations now come with significantly tougher new penalties - should negligence lead to a worker dying on the job. WorkSafe Victoria have also scaled up with 11 new staff: 8 experienced investigators & 3 newly graduated investigators who have transferred after years of experience with Victoria Police. A conviction could involve manslaughter charges, wi...th up to 25 years in prison for individuals or $16M in fines for corporations. We're committed to helping your crew work safely around (overhead & underground) electrical hazards and remain compliant whilst getting the job done. https://www.hireandrentalnews.com.au/sa-manslaughter.../ #NoGoZones #PowerLInes #EnergySafeVictoria #compliance

02.01.2022 Melbourne's inner suburbs of Collingwood & Fitzroy have some of the highest concentration of pubs per hectare in Melbourne - but there's also dozens more FORMER pubs that have been converted into other types of retail/ services & residences. They include some examples of splendid architecture worthy of preservation, but many like this one in Wellington Street are also close to overhead HV power lines (almost invisible in this photo). Hillview Painting Pty Ltd did an excellent job restoring this building to it's former glory. Access equipment is thanks to Manlift Hire & the photo thanks to John.
