23.01.2022 The question I am most asked is "what do you think is going on with the market at the moment?" and the answer I give is, "there are more people talking about this being the time to get in to the market, rather than expecting the market to drop considerably lower than its present level". If I add in to the mix a lot of recent media coverage alluding to the same thing, I would tend to think that perhaps WA has turned the corner. It's interesting to look at the current stats for... housing which in a general sense seem to suggest that property prices are 'at or about' the levels they were in 2007. It's certainly not unusual to see properties selling for the same price they were purchased for at that time. So given that historically WA expects to see property prices doubling every seven years, I think it'd be a fair bet to assume that property prices in Perth have probably bottomed out now... and perhaps we are about to experience the first signs of consolidation and growth!
