21.01.2022 With Duck safely stowed in the container it was time to do Rose. With the pushpin, pulpit and lifelines removed it then takes about 3 - 4 hours to flip her on her side and gently suspend her in a cradle. You can watch the whole process condensed into 20 seconds
17.01.2022 The Vanuatu Tropical Cyclone relief fundraising has reached the $2000 initial target. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Contributions have been between $10 ...and $100 and have added up to a healthy total. Thanks to Edel Doyle, Neville Rose, Steve Allen, George Shaw and Deb Allen for being part of the team. The Ocean Racing Club of Victoria Inc. (ORCV) have volunteered to do the bank transfers to Vanuatu which we expect to occur in a few days time. If you would still like to contribute, the donations page on Go Fund Me will be open for another week or two, just click on an attached link or search "Vanuatu Maritime College" on gofundme.com Thanks everyone. 13.01.2022 Flipping Rose for her trip to Vanuatu
06.01.2022 Still looking for a suitable person. There seems to be a dearth of 18YOs who know the difference between a spark plug and a piston
05.01.2022 I mentioned in one of my recent updates that the Vanuatu Maritime college had, amongst food and medical supplies etc, assisted by transporting a Coconut P...alm leaf training team to the West Coast villages to help make new roof thatching and wall sheets. I have an article I summarised from the project report - nice positive stuff Our Go Fund Me team of Edel Doyle, Neville Rose, Deb Allen, Steve Allen and George Shaw will enjoy a read I'm sure. Let me know if anyone would like a read and I'll email it - facebook won't let me post PDFs? See more
02.01.2022 So, the big question has been answered - Can you fit two 22 ft boats into a 40 ft container?
01.01.2022 Came across this again today. Little bit of a sensationalist headline but the content provides good coverage of the damage caused by cyclone Harold in Vanuatu.
