25.01.2022 Something so easy can make such a huge difference to the outcome for an individual and their family - please read through...............

25.01.2022 Heres one of our regular sailors enjoy his day out on with Sailability Penrith Lakes.

24.01.2022 Today was the volunteers Christmas party, held on the Nepean Belle. Perfect weather and food, with such a wonderful group of people made it a perfect event. Thanks to Corrie Monsma for organising it all so well again. Merry Christmas to you all and thank you for all you efforts this year that have made Sailability Penrith Lakes such a success, for over 2000 sailors this year alone - well done!

23.01.2022 The Come n Try day is cancelled for tomorrow, June 19th, due to excess water levels, combined with the strong probability of bad weather anyway. Anyone wishing to book in for the next one on July 24th, please leave a comment here or call Pam on her mobile. Apologies for any disappointment caused.

17.01.2022 Sailing = fun for all ages.

15.01.2022 Unfortunately, we are going to have to cancel this Sundays Come n Try event again, as the water levels are still too high. The water is still covering our access paths to the pontoons, making it quite unsafe for clients and volunteers to operate. Apologies to all who had booked. Hopefully, we will have better luck next month, on April 15th.

15.01.2022 The Come n Try Day for tomorrow April 15th has had to be cancelled again, due to the water levels still being too high for safe access to the pontoon. Also, the water quality is poor and the weeds have surrounded the pontoons, which would make boat access difficult, if not impossible. Our apologies again for any disappointment caused by circumstances beyond our control. Hopefully, we will have better luck next month on May 13th.

15.01.2022 Penrith Panthers Disability Expo - A big thanks to the volunteers that manned the stand over the two days

13.01.2022 Sailability Penrith Lakes Committee has suspended all sailing activities until the end of Term 2 (up to July 2020), due to the impact of COVID-19 however our return to sailing will certainly be influenced by any government imposed restrictions/ recommendations in force at the time.

12.01.2022 Sailability Penrith Lakes is mourning the loss of our Lifetime Member and friend, Keith Winterton, who passed away last Tuesday at the grand old age of 91. He started volunteering with Sailability Penrith Lakes around 2007 accompanied by his faithful dog "Jack". He served on the committee and helped build the club up to become one of the biggest branches in NSW. Most notably, he made the "Sydney Harbour Bridge" keel lifter for the club, to make lifting the keels out of the b...oats a less back-breaking job for all the volunteers, who were greatly appreciative, and it became the envy of many other clubs in the state. Our sincere condolences to Keiths family and friends. His funeral will be held 10am Thursday 16 July at Pinegrove Memorial Park and a celebration of his life will follow at Penrith Panthers.

07.01.2022 Bookings now open for one of our 2020 Come & Try Days - 2 February, 5 April, 17 May, 16 August, 13 September, 18 October, 22 November. Look forward to catching up with our members and welcoming new sailors.

07.01.2022 Sailing has been cancelled again for the next few days, including our Come n Try day this Sunday, May 3rd and group sailing on May 4th and 5th, due to excess water in the lakes covering our access path and the pontoons, as seen in the following photos supplied by Sydney International Regatta Centre.

05.01.2022 We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new ramp system, which will allow us to continue sailing, even when the water levels are increased, as they have been frequently of late. This means that everyone, including those in wheelchairs, can access the pontoons and boats in safety and can remain dry.

04.01.2022 Sailability Penrith Lakes has been saddened by the news that our friend and life member, Mike Watson, peacefully passed away over the weekend after recently being diagnosed with cancer. As well as being one of the longest serving volunteers at Sailability Penrith Lakes he loved sailing, dancing, artistic endeavours, acting, travel, crosswords and so much more. May you take refuge in heavens safe harbour and the wind in your sails comfort those you loved.
