02.01.2022 Day 3 - Corrected

02.01.2022 Mondays Grudge match (Dave Vs Inkie) was a great day 15-20 knots was the forecast and we had a great run from T4 - Admiralty Buoy - Chanel marker 4 and then finish back @ T4 in front of Wharf 1 Cafe, allowing both boats to really let loose with up wind and down wind reach. At the briefing we had to flip a coin so the boats could be chosen as both radio hosts wanted the Blue Boat. Dave said "Blue is for boys" but Inkie basically wanted the Blue Boat just so Dave didnt get hi...s own way :) That put a crew of 6 on "Leitning storm" including Totally Work Wears leading man Chris Kingsbury and a crew of 5 on board Wazzas well known "Barefoot" Once we hit the water, the crew ;both regular and celebrities; were put through their paces packing fenders, tidying mooring lines and then hoisting sails to be ready for the start. Away they went at the drop of the flag, spectators from the shore watching as the green boat made a spectacular first rounding attempting to have the hull flying right over the first marker!! Then came the kite run heading out the leads. Once flying both crews had a minute to sit and relax and enjoy the smooth water of the inlet. Unfortunately this didnt last long as "Leitning Storm" had a spinnaker blow out just past the marina and had to resort to a 2 sail reach. None the less the rest of the race was a blast. With only water spraying across the bows occasionally washing smiles from faces long enough to yell "Yeehaa" or "thats bloody cold!" ..................... Current Race Results. Barefoot "1" Leitning storm "0" (Im Blaming Inkies Steering) But there is a whole regatta to come yet. thanks to Dave & Inkie with the team from Star Fm Chris from TWW and the others who came out to help Looking forward to seeing you in September
