24.01.2022 "Tonight is the greatest event in the history of humanity - and that is, without a shadow of a doubt!" Listen to Fr Sam Fanous' sermon on the transformative miracle of the Resurrection that made us recreate time to centre around this one event! Happy Feast of the Resurrection!

23.01.2022 During these holy and blessed days of Nativity, it is, above all, vital that we discern the very intention behind the Church at the Council of Nicaea in celebra...ting Christmas on a particular Feast date. The intention was always that it was a "Winter Feast" in the Northern Hemisphere (not down-under :)) that would be celebrated as the days began to lengthen, making it ever so clear that Christ is Incarnate to bring light to the world, and chase away darkness.... We wholeheartedly support His Holiness Pope Tawadros II's and His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion's pastoral love and care to allow his flock to commemorate the Feast of the Nativity on the 25th of December. Let us remember, as His Holiness reminded us in his recent remarks, that "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath" (Mk 2:27). We pray and hope this is a first step in recognising the real pastoral need, as well as discerning the very intention of the Incarnation itself: to bring Christ's light to our darkness. For an insightful and theologically astute article on Feast of Nativity that helps cast light on the matter: http://www.stgeorgeministry.com/when-is-the-right-christmas/ May Christ be born in our hearts! 21.01.2022 An incredible opportunity: In 5 weeks all of the walls of the new Church will be installed over 1 day! We have 35 fixed pre-cast concrete wall panels that make up the church that will be craned into place. Each concrete panel costs $5,000 and we have a great opportunity to add a permanent keepsake cast into each wall panel. You can sponsor/donate a panel and the concreter will place a picture and/or prayer (of your choice) for your family into that wall panel. ... 25 of the panels have already been donated, so only 10 are left thanks to your generosity! It is a tax-deductible donation . To sponsor one of the ten remaining panels please go here: https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=5CH5EBAN9GV62 We will then be in touch about imprinting your prayer/family in the wall.

16.01.2022 Happy New Year all! This year we are doing a "communal resolution" that will change each month of the year based on a little bit of evidence about which new year resolutions actually work. If each of us gets involved, it will make us a more Christ-like and more cruciform community! January's communal resolution is a "small act of kindness"--just one a day. Join the resolution (revolution)! More details in the New Year's homily: https://soundcloud.com//do-new-year-resolutions-work-fr-da

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Grant, Jess, Arie, and Valerie on their reception into the Orthodox Church. Welcome home guys!

08.01.2022 Happening now...

07.01.2022 "Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end." (John 13:1) Christ loved us all to the very end. So why then does the world have an irrational hate for Christ? Listen to Fr Daniel Fanous' Good Friday sermon to hear the answer to this almost 'timeless' question.... God bless

07.01.2022 Same Pascha, different space... Coming to you from the new church that is your home! Pascha is without doubt the holiest week of the year, in fact the entire year points to it. The Crucifixion, and Resurrection are the very basis of Christianity. The Church in her wisdom dedicates an entire week to share in the suffering (pascha) and, therefore, the glory of Christ. It is a week not be missed! Note: All video-conferencing links are released via our parish communications.
