24.01.2022 Angus has been a part of my life for all of his life, his family property being a neighbour to our's when we lived near Richmond. He attended Richmond State School with my George and they went on to Boarding together in Brisbane. When his delightful fiancé Anna asked me to be their wedding photographer I was just a bit chuffed! It is a monumental honour to be The Chosen One (that's what it feels like!) when it is for special people in my life. Yesterday I travelled out to their cattle station North of Richmond, on which the Dutton River runs right past their house. What a striking location for an Engagement shoot. Wow. The Dutton is 209km long and feeds into mighty Flinders River, the longest River in Queensland.

22.01.2022 I really love photographing the moment that the bride reveals herself to her parents, in all of her gloriousness, on her wedding day! I've been a mother-of-the-bride so know just how incredible the day is for parents, there is a LOT of emotion tied up in those moments. So very special. Nat's reveal was made all the more delightful due to her 2 girls, darling little Grace was very impressed telling her mum she looked 'cute'. And as you will see, Charlie thought it was high time she got a little more attention!!

15.01.2022 Nat & Tom were suppose to go out for a romantic dinner for Valentines Day but were unable to find anyone to look after the kids so postponed it. Nat had a suspicion that Tom was going to propose, so as soon a her parents got back to the station she arranged for the date night to happen. Tom had kept all the details a surprise but asked Nat to order take away Chinese on the way in to Mount Isa. On arrival they picked up their Chinese and headed along the road to Boulia for 20k...m where they turned off to an old Granite mine. On top of a big Granite rock they set up a table and chairs, took out their Chinese and watched the sun set. Nat was about to start packing every thing up when Tom asked her to sit back down. He then got down on one knee in front of her. 09.01.2022 It never ceases to give me goosebumps when families come together for a wedding. Every one unique and extraordinary in its own right while each sharing the buzz of anticipation, the unrestrained happiness, the unshackled emotion. Even the tough nuts can’t hide the fact that they are moved! It’s very, very cool. For a few weeks there was no small measure of anxiety around the impact of the new restrictions laid down with Corona’s 2nd wave, and the guest list had to be reviewed... which was tough to do but Aimie & Neil knew they didn’t want to delay and the day went ahead. Neil & Aimie married on Neil’s parents, Tony & Gayle’s property, having spent weeks ‘restoring’ the shearing shed that hasn’t seen anything resembling a sheep since 1996! Aimie’s vision was bought to life with solid effort and collaboration of both families and many friends. It was magical. The shed stood proudly in the paddock, she was just waiting to put on a show. And there is a romance the Outback provides like nothing else can, the wide brown land, the incredible skiesah it’s just splendid! I’m so delighted for Neil, one of my beautiful nephews, he is a fine man and he has found his fine woman, they will create a great life together, of that I am certain. And I am super proud of Tony & Gayle, tremendous parents to their 4 kids and generous hosts to all that come their way. 01.01.2022 Check out this gorgeous little chapel. Looking like something out of Little House on the Prairie, the building was relocated to @bracknelllodge from the little town of Wyreema near Toowoomba last year. The work carried out, in a very short length of time at Bracknell Lodge is mind blowing. 01.01.2022 Ellie & Jake - 3 July 2021 When it was announced last Tuesday that Townsville was going into lockdown, Ellie & Jake had some agonising decisions to make. They had spent months planning and dreaming of their day which was to happen yesterday beginning with sharing their vows at St James Catholic Cathedral, followed by 150 of their favourite people celebrating with them at a wedding venue at Alligator Creek. All of this was snatched away by a 3 day lock-down because of 1 travel...ler to Townsville testing positive to COVID. There were tears and many discussions before the decision was made to have only immediate family at the property of Jake’s family 70 kms south of Prairie. Two major things of note here. The incredible grace of the Bride & Groom in the face of what was a very cruel blow. And the extraordinary effort by Jake’s family to pull the wedding together in 3 days! They went like mad things to turn Bogunda into a wedding site and that is exactly what they did.
