13.01.2022 Always hard to leave this place. So many beautiful people, memories and yarns, we have been so blessed to have had the weekend here on TI. Huge eso to LilyJan...e Shibasaki for your generosity and sharing your house with our big mob. We could not have made these memories with our family without your kindness. I encourage everyone to get to know more about the Torres Strait and make sure you add this place to your bucket list. This place is paradise and the people are truely amazing. They are waiting to share their history and unique culture with you. #firstnations

09.01.2022 So much information in this article and so much more can be added from First Nations peoples knowledges. Recently at Yarnin’ Up 3 at Milford Lodge Lyndon Davis shared with us the connections between the Silky Oak and the Eel. Lyndon helped us connect this to country by sharing language - EUDLO- place of the eel. And when the tree flowers, that’s the time to hunt the eel. Lastly he shared about the pattern/grain of the silky oak is the same as that of the eel. I’ve seen t...hese beautiful trees full with Spangled Drongos, Satin Bowerbirds and Black Cockatoos all at one time having the biggest feed. One of my favourite trees. Enjoy the article.

07.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN0X9G2Z5U8 It's been remiss of us to take this long to respectfully represent the architecture of First Nations and showcase th...e diversity of structures. We've been inspired by the work of Dr Paul Memmot. but rather than simply write out it but simulate it as accurately and authentically as we can achieve within the limits of our technology and timeframes. Special mention to David Cooper who continues to excel and impress... See more

06.01.2022 Great to see Aunty Wasie Tardent and have a small catch up downtown TI. Aunty was my cultural mentor back when I was learning about Torres Strait culture and played a big part in laying a strong foundation for me to build my cultural capability. Eso Aunty
