25.01.2022 Been hanging with my friend @juliesilvesterart this afternoon. Hanging art that is! Lots of original artworks and limited edition prints available at @bayroadpantry6010 from today until 19 December. We tested the tea, coffee and cake while we were there too.

24.01.2022 I recently sold the original painting ‘Enough About Me, What Do You Think Of Me?’. The model for this piece was Alex, a resident of Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre. Sadly, beautiful Alex recently passed away and in his memory I have donated half the cost of the original plus a large, framed canvas print for the Christmas Auction. You can bid for the print which #1/10, signed and with a certificate. Just go to the Kaarakin website, bidding starts tomorrow! Good luck! https://blackcockatoorecovery.com//item-69-alex-by-sally-/ RIP Alex

24.01.2022 Been getting these beauties ready to make their way to @galleryaura in Kojonup. If you are headed that way, don’t miss the chance to visit this beautiful gallery. All of the magpies pictured live down my road.

18.01.2022 The folks at Kanyana do an amazing job. It was lovely to be able to visit with the Tawny Frogmouths. Must go back soon and see my old friend Henry the Red Tail Black Cockatoo. You can book a private visit and support this fabulous place.

17.01.2022 Woohoo! Thank you so much to everyone who voted. I’m over the moon! #Repost @fineart_at_hale with @make_repost ... Well the votes are in and have been counted! While selections were spread quite widely across the field of our exhibiting artists, the overwhelming majority (with 41% of the count) was River Dancer by Sally Edmonds Art! At 125 x 125cm, this acrylic is a large work, but looks impressive even on a small digital image. Congratulations to Sally, who has taken this prize almost more times than we can count!

17.01.2022 While I wait for paint to dry on one painting I can finish off another! No time to waste in the lead up to hectic October! This chap will be at my open studio on 10 & 11 Oct, 10-5.

14.01.2022 I have been given lots of things to try but I reckon this is the best. For precision erasing you can’t beat it! Thanks @jasart_au for this eraser from Kent.

12.01.2022 In the New Homes magazine in the West Australian newspaper today. My lovely friend Deborah in her beautiful home by Webb & Brown-Neaves, artwork by Sally Edmonds Art

07.01.2022 Not long now! #Repost @kalamundaopenstudios with @make_repost ... ARTIST @kalamundaopenstudios SALLY EDMONDS. After a successful career in design and reprographics in the UK print industry, Sally decided to become a full time professional artist in 2014. Her work reflects a passion for wildlife, especially birds. Using pastel, colour pencil, watercolours and occasionally acrylics Sally leans towards realism but deliberately veers away from the more traditional style of portraying wildlife preferring to use a bolder style with visible marks, large size, negative space, dramatic light and exaggerated colour. She has won multiple awards for her work. Sally supports local wildlife conservation centres and is also involved with The Military Arts Programme which gives free art classes to veterans and serving military personnel seeking to support the mental health of its participants. www.sallyedmonds.com www.facebook.com/sallyedmondsart/ Instagram: sally_edmonds_art See more

05.01.2022 Thank you ABC Landline for sharing my drawing of Katanning.

02.01.2022 Framing Day Busy getting lots of pictures framed for my Open Studio on 10 & 11 Oct. I’m lucky enough to have my own framing studio and my husband Richard who makes all the frames. I love the control this gives me over the end product. If you’re free, 10-5 both days. 20 Roach Rd, Kalamunda.

02.01.2022 Thank you very much to The Berry Farm in Margaret River for being so welcoming when I went to gather reference photos for all of the wren artworks that I’m going to be doing. Seriously can’t wait to turn these handsome boys into art. Mission accomplished, lots of photos and some yummy jam as well. Don’t miss out on this experience if you visit the region, it’s wonderful!
