19.01.2022 This legend has completely amazed his fellow A-team participants........ I hear no more complaints of how hard the sled is. We love having you #legls_mcsmith as part of our group fitness team.

19.01.2022 The world of fitness and health can be a double edge sword. The intention is for healthy mind and body but sometimes our heads can get us into quite a negative space. The last few weeks have been a struggle to find time for my own goals and training hang on - lets be honest, I am just making an excuse for my lack of commitment and discipline lately as in the past I have juggled a lot more and still made time to do what is required to strive towards my goals. I had a good... hard honest conversation with a beautiful friend, successful athlete, personal trainer and gym owner, someone I respect, admire and who makes it look easy. We chatted about some of the hard stuff that this industry throws at us. She and so many others that are in the fitness game and involved in the sport that I am so passionate about make it look easy. This has at times made me question what am I doing wrong, how can I be better, do I really belong, I’m not as young as they are, what do I need to do to be as good as them why do I find it so hard to be consistently committed and enthusiastic all the time when the people that I admire and look up to do it so easily well they don’t. Working and being involved in this industry makes us feel like we have to look a certain part and behave a certain way all the time, be 100% on point with what we eat, lift with perfect form, run the fastest, always be positive and set a good example for the people that we are trying to guide. We fall into the trap of feeling that we can’t slip up and sit in our cars with a McDonalds apple pie McFlurry, after eating a fried waffle chicken burger and washing it down with a couple of beers, that we should never hit snooze and hate getting up to go to the gym. There is a lot of pressure that you have to be 100% perfect all the time. My point is that we will always look at someone who appears to be better than us or makes what we struggle with look easy. We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors in their lives. Just worry about doing what you are doing and trying YOUR best. Your amazing is not going to be the same as everyone elses.

17.01.2022 I will be away until 6 November! Keep working hard and support each other. See you all on Wednesday when classes resume as normal.
