15.01.2022 So often we are busy looking at the 'what next' in children's lives and forget childhood is a time to be, to seek and make meaning of the world. 'Being', a strong theme in the Early Years Learning Framework recognises the significance of the here and now in children’s lives. It is about the present and them knowing themselves, building and maintaining relationships with others, engaging with life’s joys and complexities, and meeting challenges in everyday life. The early childhood years are not solely preparation for the future but also about the present.

10.01.2022 This morning in Mighty Mites the Black Cockatoos *warmed and developed their gross motor muscles by going on an adventure to the circus *spoke about the health benefits of oranges and they are filled with vitamins to help prevent colds and flus and *began learning some interesting facts about their bodies - starting with our heads!

This year we will again be facilitating Parent Groups for each of the rooms at SP as a way for our parents to meet other parents in their child’s room. This initiative was highly successful with many friendships formed between our parents from regular dinner outings!
