The Ice Dogs have the reputation of being the toughest team in the AIHL, so we expect a physical contest. They have been on a solid run, but after ending Melbourne Ice’s winning streak last weekend, the Thunder are primed to take on the Ice Dogs. 09.01.2022 Perth Thunder Split the weekend games in Melbourne against the Mustangs, it was a bruising affair with both teams coming to play. The first game saw the Mustangs take a tight goalie battle 2-1. But in the second game there was no stopping the scoring of Michael Dorr as he scored 4 goals, 3 short handed (an AIHL record), powering the Thunder to a 6-3 win.
