25.01.2022 Well hello there! I'm getting ready to head back, and I cannot wait to be back at the Studio on Thursday! I managed to get quite a lot achieved whilst I have been away....including a massive queen size quilt (which of course I can't show you because it's a gift...so you'll just have to trust me on that!). These are the pictures from this weeks effort....lots of simple things which have been fun to sew.... I hope that your week is treating you well. Sally x

20.01.2022 Good Morning! I'm still remote....but still stitching away! Even though I was organised with my projects, I have still managed to create a pile of scraps! If I was at home, and at Mums, I would have cut them up into squares and rectangles and added them to her every growing bundles of scraps. But, as I had a bit of wadding, and some white fabric, decided to have a play and make another table runner. Was fun....and got rid of some scraps and some left over binding pieces from ...other stuff that I had finished during the week. I have a couple of bindings to finish stitching on some other runners, so when done I will post photos (just as proof that I'm not laying around doing nothing here!) I hope your week is full of fun things! Sally x

13.01.2022 Good morning to you! There has been some special activity in the Studio.... Joyce Prince had a special 0 birthday... ... Chrissy finished her beautiful pink quilt.... Sue created a find the fish mat.... and of course the kids just keep on doing great things! I’m missing all the faces and activities, but looking forward to hopefully being back in the Studio next week. Fill your day with happy things. Sally x

12.01.2022 Hello there! Well we finished term three off with a flurry of activity....loving the creative people that come along and stitch with us! Please note that during the school holidays (the next two weeks) we will have limited opening times. There's an earlier post that shows our closure dates. If you have alterations to collect, please make sure you note the days we are open.... Enrolments are being taken NOW for term four....old & new students need to enrol to secure your spot. My weekend has been spent (unusually) in the sewing room...cutting out projects to do....trying to use up some fabric that has some how "just appeared" in my cupboards. It's good to have projects ready to go (and with a "mud map" securely attached). Makes it SO SO easy when all I want to do is just hit the machine and sew! 11.01.2022 Good morning to you! Well the weekend didn't quite go as planned....an aching back played havoc with an anticipated "play date" with my new toy! But....with the aid of massage, pain killers and rest.....yesterday I managed to have a wonderful time with my new Q'nique machine. And to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE it....is an understatement!... Last week was a busy one as usual at the Studio. Christine had some well needed R and R, and left me in charge of the kids class on Thursday....which was terrifying for me....but we muddled through! Christmas draws ever closer, as does 2021. I hope that you are not stressing too much about either! I hope the week ahead is full of all good things for you. Sally x

04.01.2022 Hello there! Another busy week the Studio....a lot going on as we near the end of term. I plan on a weekend at the quiilting frame, as I have as usual, quite a few in the "pile" to get to.... That's the plan.....so we'll see how that pans out! I hope your weekend is full of good things. 02.01.2022 Good morning to you! Today is a quilting day.....yes I know.....the weekend was supposed to be too. However, my machine had other ideas, and really wasn't that keen on playing the game.... So I've given it a good rest, and hopefully it will play nice in a half hour or so when I get out to the sewing room. If not....well don't be alarmed by the screeching sound you may hear in the distance. This is the last week of term three in the Studio. We are taking enrolments now for term four, so all current and future students please make sure you enrol for sessions that will commence again from the 12th October, 2020. 01.01.2022 Hello there! I am currently working "remotely" which has meant I have had to be super organised to ensure that I have all that I need to complete a stack of projects. I have two boxes of things to do..... and am slowly making my way through them. I'm pretty pleased with last weeks efforts. It's so much easier when each project is planned and cut so that all I have to do is sit and sew!... It also helps to have your sister along for the journey.....she loves to cook, so I don't even have to worry about that! I've just realised that as we are now in November, I should have bought a few Christmas projects along to do too. But I didn't, and I've got more than enought to keep me busy. AND if all else fails, I can drag out my hand piecing "drunkards path" project to keep me occupied. I hope that, wherever you be, that life is treating you well, that you are staying safe and are spending some time with people that you love. Enjoy your week. Sally x

01.01.2022 Hello there! Great excitement here.....I have a new toy to play with! The wonderful Hans Martini from Know-How Sewing Essentials has just installed my new Grace Q'nique 19 Quilting Machine!... So, with all my chores done this morning....guess what I'll be doing for the next few days? Maybe....just maybe....I'll be able to catch up on those quilts that my lovely clients have been patiently waiting for! Have a great day....I have and am! Sally x
