20.01.2022 We are overwhelmed by the generosity that has been shown to those affected by the bushfires. The support in the last few days has been truly remarkable. While ...we’re so appreciative of everyone’s generous offers to donate goods, food and accommodation, at this time, our teams are requesting cash donations. This is the fastest and most effective way to provide support to those affected by the bushfires, and it also means our teams can remain well supplied on the frontline. Cash also means that locals can buy exactly what they need most from local businesses, supporting their communities recover. Whilst we appreciate the offers of donated goods, at the moment the logistics of the relief effort are very challenging, so transporting and distributing goods is difficult with damaged infrastructure and volunteers that are stretched thin.
