25.01.2022 Inspired to take action and make a difference to their local communities, Salvos Stores located in New South Wales' Hunter region and Central Coast have set up donation drop off points in-store for non-perishable food and hygiene products. These products will be bundled into food parcels and dignity bags, then distributed to those in need. The food items most in demand are:... Canned beans Jars of pasta sauce Pasta and rice Cereal and rolled oats Canned fruit and veggies Tinned tuna Jams and spreads Long-life milk For hygiene product donations, we would greatly appreciate: Shampoo and conditioner Sanitary items Toothbrush and toothpaste Soap and deodorant If you would like to drop off non-perishable food and/or hygiene products, please visit one of the Salvos Stores below until the end of October. 20.01.2022 Like many of us, charities aren’t immune to the ripple effects of Covid-19, so when St Kilda Mums reached out to our Victorian team asking for assistance, we were only too happy to help. For those unfamiliar with St Kilda Mums, they do amazing work distributing donated children’s toys, clothing and so much more to families doing it tough. Since restrictions were tightened in Victoria the flow of donations usually received by St Kilda Mums was slowly drying up. Luckily, a few ...of our teams facilitating online orders in a handful of our closed Victorian shops were able to gather 38 bags of kids' clothes in one week to donate to St Kilda Mums. We’re so grateful to have been able to ensure these items get to those in need and want to take this opportunity to thank our donors for making this happen. Your donation makes a difference.
