15.01.2022 After a few hiccups, a trip to home to fill up the water tank, and one to service station for petrol for generator as the power outlet was locked, we are off and running! Come and say hi to our team out tonight and have a coffee or tea.

12.01.2022 Salvos Street Teams will be out and about tonight setting up up our trailer in a new location in the Rankin and Bond Pty Ltd carpark. Big shout out to Rankin & Bond management for allowing us access! We are there to be of assistance to anyone needing a hand whilst out and about in the CBD at night. It could be: * A bottle of water... * Basic first aid if you've hurt yourself, and bandaids for sore feet *We can call an ambulance in a serious situation * We can phone a friend if youve lost your phone or its flat or out of credit * We have vomit bags for your taxi ride home (driver much happier with one of these), or for any time * Hot drinks for designated drivers available at our van, and for taxi drivers and security at pubs and clubs We are out on Saturday nights from 11.00pm to 2.30pm! "Street Teams - We've Got Your Back."

03.01.2022 Streets Teams will be out tonight. We are there to provide help to get home, basic first aid, flip flops for tired feed, and to be "eyes and ears" for police for any escalating situations. To provide safety for those out having a good night. We also do hot drinks!

03.01.2022 To the Launceston Community. When COVID19 hit we obviously had to cease our Street Teams Launceston. There were no clubs open or operating due to being in lockdown and social distancing rules. Now that restrictions are easing in Tasmania we are looking at the possibility of recomnencing in line with the State Governments restrictions and with a Risk assessment and Safety plan in place to ensure the safety of our volunteers and our patrons.... If Tasmania continues to be free of infection and pubs are able to ease restrictions more, we will be looking forward to being out and about assisting those who are at risk, or just need a helping hand or a listening ear. Keep doing the right thing Tasmanians and visitors alike, so we can keep our beautiful State safe for all!
