17.01.2022 I am trying my best but getting older is really testing me. I have always enjoyed the way my physical body has served me throughout my fun filled 20’s and 30’s. It's been in my 40's that I have gained weight and begun to see the physical signs of ageing. Yuck. I have hated carrying extra weight, hated to look in the mirror and furthermore, hated myself for being so shallow about it. I know better and yet these feelings have shattered my confidence. My confid...ence has been replaced by guilt. All because of my perception of myself and that which is connected to my physical appearance. This is all at a stage of my life where I'm enjoying my greatest love and discovering my authentic creative voice. I recently learnt (scientifically) that my strongest motivator in life, what drives me more than anything is aesthetic. That makes sense, I'm a photographer. I'm inspired by how things look. What I see, makes me feel. I can't turn that off and to be honest, I don't want to. So, I am not going to wish these feelings away but rather crack on with making some changes. This series titled "Diets Don't Work" explores the destructive and distorted feelings experienced when we perceive ourselves only through our physical state.

14.01.2022 For more than ten years I’ve been taking photos and producing commercial work. The past years I have devoted to creating photography that I want to see, imagery that I can’t seem to find anywhere. Working solo and with nudes enables me full creative freedom and the opportunity to orchestrate works that can be authentically mine. This is both liberating and equal parts terrifying. I keep coming back to the realisation that the only story I can tell is my story.
11.01.2022 New Series. I am motivated to do these works to showcase strong women (non sexualised) who are empowered by their bodies and not afraid of their sexuality. I endeavour to show the woman of today who is not ashamed to be naked and in their natural state. Female nudity that can be admired and is not solely for the male gaze. This series is collage where the locations were shot separately without the model. Model later shot in studio. I wanted it to look like she was not insitu.
