24.01.2022 Attention Stingray Parents!!! We invite you to be part of our wonderful committee in one of the best and successful sporting clubs in the Samford community. Our current long-standing committee would love to see some new faces. Any skills, experience or hands on work is always welcome so that we can continue to give our children the awesome experience of being a Stingray. Our AGM is this Sunday 23rd August 2020 at 3pm - Bendigo Bank Boardroom, Upstairs (Entry via Stairs at... the rear of the bank), 37 Main Street (Cnr Station Street), Samford. Executive Roles available President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Race Secretary, Registrar, Marketing Manager. Other key roles within the club Operations Manager, Operations Volunteers, Volunteer Coordinator, BBQ Purchasing Officer, Club Merchandise Coordinator, General Committee Member, Starter & Referees. 24.01.2022 Club Update 16/3/20 Valued Members - Please refer to your email for an update regarding the remainder of the 2019/20 season. The health and safety of our members is of paramount importance to the Samford Swim Club. In light of the current uncerainty surrounding the coronavirus COVID-19, and the fact that ultimately ultimately our club activities are nonessential, and our season has almost concluded, the Committee has resolved as follows:... Our final club night scheduled for this coming Friday 20th March has been cancelled. Club points will be locked off as at last Friday 13th March, and club champions, points champions etc. will be determined based on club nights run up until and including that date. Our Club Championships scheduled for Friday 27th March & Saturday 28th March have been cancelled. Our club Presentation Evening scheduled for Friday 3rd April has been postponed until a later date to be advised. 14.01.2022 Information regarding the Bronte Barratt Shield on Saturday has been released. Please see below. Samford club members, please refer to your emails for final entries and relay combinations. Samford members also please note that there will be no medley events running at Club Night 10 tomorrow night. Please monitor your email and Facebook for further updates regarding both events, particularly in light of the current weather conditions. The club is closely monitoring the weather forecasts and will make decisions in due course over the next 2 days.

Please let us know if you can't make it, or would like to make event changes for next week. For anyone wishing to participate in the 400m freestyle on Friday 13th March, please nominate to swim 100m freestyle if the swimmer has not already done so this season or in a previous season. It's the pointy end of the season.... 3 club nights remaining, plus Club... Championships and rounding out the season with our presentation evening on Friday 3rd April! 08.01.2022 Congratulations to the Electric Eels Swimming Club for taking out the 2020 Bronte Barratt Shield at the Samford Pool today! The Eels have broken Samford's 5 year winning streak with a well deserved win today! Many thanks to our very own Bronte Barratt for coming today to inspire the next generation of swimmers. We are so grateful that Bronte gives up so much of her time to our Club. Despite weather forecasts, we had a perfect day full of fun, friendly competition and a grea...t family day out. Thanks so much to the scores of volunteers who make this day possible from all the participating Clubs - we love having you all come along year after year. Many thanks to our Club photographer Joep Buijs Photography who took these amazing photos today (more to follow in the coming week!) Days like today would not be possible without the people behind the scenes ... thank you to everyone! 05.01.2022 Swim Club AGM Covid-19 Compliance In light of this morning's Covid-19 measures introduced by Queensland Health to restrict gatherings to a maximum of 10 people in public spaces, we will regrettably need to restrict attendance at tomorrow's AGM to outgoing and incoming committee members (with a preference for those who are incoming or will have ongoing roles into Season 2020/21). This is regrettable but necessary in order for the Club to comply. If you are intending to be pr...esent tomorrow, could you please respond below, or to the email that was just sent, for the purpose of tracking numbers. 05.01.2022 Exciting things are happening at Club Night 4 tomorrow night!!! We will be announcing our 4 Club Captains for 2020-21 as well as a BRAND NEW position within our leadership group. Our beef burgers will be making a return.... Yummo! Due to covid-safe reasons we are unable to have our self-serve salad bar however coleslaw will be offered and served by our bbq volunteers.... We are going CASH-FREE on the BBQ as of this week and we now have 2 eftpos terminals to avoid any line ups. The following families are on BBQ duty from 5.30-8pm - Banner, Beechey, Stewart-Guex, Bellingham, Ogden & Arthur. See you poolside tomorrow night!!!
