24.01.2022 It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but a lot of positive changes have occurred over the past few weeks that have been encouraging me to push my business further. One of the major changes has been a change of address, and I'm stoked to show you guys this photo of my new teaching/studio space

19.01.2022 I've tried coins, cards, bread tags, folded up paper, random scraps of metal, I've even tried a slap technique with a water bottle. Conclusion: nothing beats an actual guitar pick! Not that it's slowing this guy down...

13.01.2022 I reckon I drop a pick at least once per gig, I've gotten pretty good at compensating by struming with my fingers, though that can get painful after a while. Also, egg shakes, who knew. To the guitar store!

10.01.2022 When I first started learning guitar, I felt like there was this elitism towards guitar gear, like you weren't really a guitarist unless you had x,y, and z. Now that I've been playing for however many years, I still see that attitude all the time, and there are professional standards for certain things, but for someone just starting out, I think it's a myth that needs to be dispelled. The measure of a good musician isn't the price tag of their equipment, or for that matter, how much they know about different gear. Anyway, below is an even longer discussion about this topic that chronicles my experience going from beginner to professional equipment.
