PROBLEM SOLVING WORD PROBLEMS BAR MODELLING SINGAPORE MATHS is a proven method, used to teach mathematical concepts to students, focused on understanding and developing problem solving and language processing skills. One of the tools that forms the basis of Singapore Maths is BAR MODELLING. This technique helps students visualise complex problems, putting a lot of information in an understandable format, to easily see how to calculate the solution. We have a unique workshop that focuses on mathematical problem solving using bar models, suitable for year 3 to 6 students. The series consists of 2 x 1.15 hour sessions.
