25.01.2022 Arigatou Gozaimasu Keiko-san and Sakura-chan! Our customers have loved the Apple pie flavoured kit kats and milk candies! Friends don't worry if you missed out, Ayuka's parents will be visiting us next month with one suitcase reserved for Japanese snacks!!!

24.01.2022 Hi Friends, Our menu has been updated to for 2016. We can no longer absorb the massive price increases for all of our stock in the last year so some prices have changed. Please note from next Saturday we will no longer trade on Saturday Lunch as our son starts Japanese school in the city this day.... We thank you for your continued custom and are looking forward to bringing some new dishes in the coming months that we were taught in Japan !

24.01.2022 Hi Friends, It is with both happiness and sadness we announce we have agreed to terms with a buyer for our restaurant. It has been an unforgettable last four years and we appreciate the support and kindness we have received from our customers. We have been waiting for 8 months to find a buyer we are happy with, and we will be taken over by lovely Japanese owners. We will be trading for the next two weeks with our last day being Saturday 29th October.... Since telling customers of the sale we are receiving a large number of eat in booking requests, so we ask for the next couple of weeks to please call to book your table prior to arrival to confirm we have space. Available for one week only, this is a family recipe handed down through 4 generations and so much more delicious than factory made udon.... $6.90

Strawberry Chocolate pieces, Soda flavoured gummies, Yoghurt Ramune Peko-chan lollipops, Saku-Saku Panda and Choco Flake chips! These are limited in quantity (one suitcase wasn't enough to fit all the favourites we wanted to bring)

16.01.2022 Customers often ask why our Miso Soup is so different to other Japanese restaurants. Ours is a family recipe handed down over 4 generations. Here in Grandma's house in absolute Japanese countryside it is over 30 minutes to a small supermarket. She is humbled by the amount of Aussies that love her recipe and wishes to say thanks!

15.01.2022 Hi Friends, We no longer have eftpos in our store, the courier came a week early to pick up the machine and wanted to charge an extra pickup fee for coming back next week. I have refused as the bank is charging me $550 just to close our account one year before the 3 year contract is up. So we are very sorry but we have to ask for cash sales for our last week. We will return to Japan to see family and friends for the first time in almost 5 years.... We have booked a few cooking classes while we are there so we hope to deliver some new yummy, trending menu items in the new year! We wish everyone an enjoyable and safe Christmas/New Year and we will update this page with photos during the trip to show you our side of Japan!

02.01.2022 NEW!!! Teriyaki Chicken Don & Yakiudon Our first new dishes for the year are here:)... By popular demand we have started Teriyaki chicken don, chicken marinated in our own store made teriyaki sauce with lettuce and tomato on rice. Also available with Kewpie mayo on top! Next is Yakiudon, thick white udon noodles stir fried with thin sliced pork belly, carrot, onion, cabbage and topped with spring onion. Also available as a vegetarian option with heaps of vegies replacing the pork ;)
