15.01.2022 Hello all, with the wild winds and recent fires in surrounding suburbs and in nearby Gordons Road (Nioka Bush Camp), we hope you and yours are keeping safe and cool. All at San Carlo are safe and comfortable. If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us; loved ones of our residents will be updated by text if circumstances change.

14.01.2022 Good morning everyone We've had some calls this week asking if there has been any change to the visiting restrictions. The visiting restrictions are still in place as per DHHS requirements and will remain until *29th Jan 2021*, with general visiting in bedrooms capped at 1 visitor per resident per day for a maximum of 2 hours. For window visits, 2 visitors per resident per day are allowed, as long as social distancing can be maintained, for a maximum of 2 hours. For both bed...room and window visits, face masks are required to be worn. We will keep you all posted if there are any changes happening. For our dearest friends and families of San Carlo, we will be having a virtual "Meet and Greet" on 28 January at 6:30pm. A Zoom meeting link will be sent next week to primary contacts.

10.01.2022 With increasing cases in Victoria once again, San Carlo has updated our visitation and screening / testing for residents returning to the facility in accordance with updated advice from the Department of Health and Human Services. To keep on top of our visitation procedures and processes, please visit https://sancarlo.com.au/news/. Let your friends and families know they can stay updated through the website as well. We hope to (safely) see you all soon... ... Have a question? Feel free to send a message to us on Facebook here - we'll respond within normal business hours. Thank you for your attention.

08.01.2022 Hello everyone. We'd like to share with everyone some information below which we sent out on Sunday 1 March 2020 to all of our residents' families. We understand that the threat of the Coronavirus Disease 2019, also known as COVID-19, is a worrying subject for many in our community. Elderly persons, as well as young children, babies, pregnant women, persons with weak immune systems and persons with chronic medical conditions, are potentially more vulnerable to the disease. P...lease be assured that there are teams across San Carlo working on preventative measures. We are prepared to respond to the situation as it evolves as quickly as possible, and plan for other possibilities as well. At San Carlo we have set clear standards to promote the safety and security of our residents, establish and maintain guidelines for infection control and health care safety and quality standards. Our incident management group, led by our CEO Rhonda Joiner, is monitoring developments closely and is meeting daily to consider any developments and potential impacts on our community and operations. We will continue to update you as new information becomes available. We ask that everyone observes the advice from government to prevent the virus from spreading. We have attached a copy of the information from the Department of Health to this email for your convenience. As we are sure you are aware, the Australian Prime Minister, Mr Scott Morrison, has announced this week that Australia has now been upgraded to a pandemic status for the coronavirus. As a result of this status upgrade, we are putting additional precautions in place to enhance the infection control process for our residents at San Carlo. A further update will be forthcoming over the next few days. Thank you.
