25.01.2022 Sandfire is delighted to partner with the International Copper Association Australia (ICAA) and other industry peers on the Zero Emission Copper Mine of the Future project. The purpose of the project is to investigate the policy, programs, capital, required skills and technology that will lead to decarbonisation within the copper mining industry. The first phase of this project identified five areas where advances in technology could lead to significant emissions reductions... those being water, ventilation, exploration, materials movement and mineral processing. Read the outcomes in the report here: http://ow.ly/xklM50DTNaH. The second phase of the project is to undertake a deep dive into each of these areas. Sandfire will be involved in the specific area of water, where our specialists will form part of a Technical Working Group.

17.01.2022 R U OK? Day is a national day to remind us that every day is the day to ask are you OK? if you know someone struggling with life’s ups and downs. At the DeGrussa Copper Mine, the R U OK? Day message has been spread through the ‘Blue Tree Project’ which aims to raise awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental health. Each time you see the tree, it acts as a reminder that ‘it’s ok not to be ok’ and that help is available. For more information about R U OK? Day visit ...https://www.ruok.org.au/ #RUOKDay
