25.01.2022 For any clients that live in this area . Please take note .

24.01.2022 I just thought I’d mention this mobile safety alert pendant if you have an elderly relative that lives on their own and you are worried if something happens to them . The pendant can be worn and a button pressed which alerts the preprogrammed number that you have installed .it has a SIM card and you can call the holder of the pendant - it’s an alternative to a back to base system . There are a few different models . They are based in Perth and very helpful . https://guardiansp.com.au/

21.01.2022 Just clearing up a rumour I’m not in isolation just had leave planned to go to Sri Lanka so can’t go so I’m just going away . Made it to lord Howe before they locked down the island to outsiders .

20.01.2022 So I’m not sure if the eye surgery was over the top but I’m ready for the Alien reveal . I’m off this week recovering. If you get the chance try and get to the firelight expo on John Street . The street art was done by Bronte Naylor and they are using unique lighting and orbs on the painting for a great visual effect starting ion Friday and finishing on weekend . Worth closing the street for it . It should be pretty trippy . See you next week .

20.01.2022 Hi here’s to a New Year . I’ll be back to work on the 20 th Jan .

19.01.2022 Haha here’s another useful hint - make sure you keep your car turned over in case the battery goes flat. We just had to push cars and fire up jumper leads . Luckily the car started but keep that in mind .

19.01.2022 I hope this info is correct . I’m just sharing it to my clients with kids at school .

19.01.2022 Just thought I would share this for my elderly clients . Check the eligibility and go to the services .nsw to claim it . It all helps .

19.01.2022 Thanks to the Burrumbuttock hay drive - a charity drive from Victoria . As the convoy of about 180 trucks of hay will stay over in Singleton on their way to Armidale tonight . They are staying at the pony club and then leave Whittingham at 7 am tomorrow . So proud of everyone’s efforts to organise the Hay drive, the truckies and massive thanks to the Pony club for the work involved for tonight .

19.01.2022 I always like to look out for my clients and ways to save money . Recently One of my family members that moved into a shared unit was amazed that their electricity bill went down$200 in one quarter when they replaced an old fridge with a more energy efficient fridge . The Nsw government has a scheme to replace old fridges and tv with more energy efficient ones for pensioners and low income earners . Check if you are eligible below and start saving on your energy bill https://appliance.environment.nsw.gov.au/products

17.01.2022 I will be away in Queensland for family commitments from Monday 29 and returning after Easter . May you enjoy this time reconnecting with family or just being able to enjoy travel within Australia - my thoughts are with families and friends that still can’t make it home and are stuck overseas unable to get flights home or vice versa where we can’t leave the country to see them . Keep connected anyway that you can - Hopefully things will change and we will be able to travel and see family in the not too distant future. Happy Easter

17.01.2022 anyone in Nsw with kids at school- dont forget to apply for thE $100 CREATIVE gift voucher for Nsw - you can spend it at even spend it at eckersleyshttps://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-creative-kids-voucher

17.01.2022 Here’s a link to the flood river heights . With the welcome sunshine predicted today and tomorrow hopefully the flooding will be kept to a minimum. http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl

16.01.2022 I was hoping to commence working this week as we have permission to open . I will be doing temperature checks and fill in a form about covid symptoms before can I start working , continuing with half hour gaps between clients for everyone’s safety. Sadly my father in law passed away suddenly on Sunday so I will be in Queensland this week . Funny how the universe works As things happened with our holiday being cancelled as we went to lord Howe at the last minute . My father i...n law’s uncle Alan Williams was awarded an OAM for his service to Lord Howe . My father in law spent many holidays there and when we went to the info centre one of the volunteers even remembered a video featuring his uncle that we were able to film and show John when we got back . So it was excellent getting his recall and bringing back memories of life on the island . The restrictions of the virus have come home to roost when you can only have restricted numbers at funerals or you have to postpone wakes etc as it delays the grieving process and robs your loved one of the send off they deserve. I’ll be sending texts to my regular clients for bookings for next week . In the meantime make sure you contact , phone that person - don’t regret , tell people that you love them - tomorrow is never promised .

15.01.2022 I think I’ve posted this before but it’s really worth watching again . I’ve noticed since going back to work a lot of clients have been complaining of more neck pain than I usually see . These tips on here are worth trying out .

15.01.2022 Just a heads up if you are coming into town - the council in their wisdom without consulting the shops in the lane and in order to forefill the conditions of a $100000 grant to make the lane ways more people friendly have closed Burns lane until 2 June . Now between you and me this is quite a busy little lane that connects the town -and gives access to John st . So now once you find it closed you will have to detour around , encounter road works up the road and then find a ...parking which could take time . So when coming to your appointment bring compass and packed lunch and then admire the expensive planter boxes placed in the lane . But really give yourself an extra 15 minutes . Ps - please give feedback to council if you feel you have been inconvenienced by the closure of the lane .

13.01.2022 Hi to all my clients - we could not have envisioned this isolation happening. I’m hoping that everyone is coping . Don’t forget you can download magazines, some books and movies etc using your library card . I think you have to organise through the library .... https://library.singleton.nsw.gov.au/Montage/Default.aspx You can go to Spotify to make a playlist of your favourite songs . Recipe tin eats has a great meal plan for 15 days https://www.recipetineats.com/coronavirus-menu-plan-1/ If you are stuck with physical pain try and look up any of the videos from these guys . They are real dags but I do like them - bob and brad physios on YouTube https://youtu.be/lETF5JRgEN8 Try doing some exercises online - local businesses - the yoga shed, body hustle fitness and health , Pilates have all got classes online . Whenever possible check on any elderly neighbours . Don’t forget to email elderly people that don’t have Facebook - or phone someone . If you need food don’t forget to contact the Singleton neighbourhood centre. Download the coronavirus app to keep up to date . Also you can control what you watch or listen to - if you feel it’s getting overwhelmed set a timer and then turn the tv off . Please message me at anytime if you are feeling down and need someone to talk to . We are all in this together and need to get out the other side .

10.01.2022 If your relatives don’t have up to date phones or a mobile phone - they can get their dine and discover vouchers printed out at Service NSW - 2 vouchers for $25 each for dine and 2 for $25 for discover ( can be used at movies ) . They are valid until June 2021 . Do it soon .

09.01.2022 Don’t forget to apply for your $250 regional seniors travel card . You can use it for fuel, taxi etc https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/regionalseniorstravel

09.01.2022 I am still considered a non essential service so until such time as the government rules otherwise I still have to remain closed . I hope that my automated message service cancelled appointments I’m sorry if any have slipped past . Don’t forget to take care of your mental well-being as well . Make sure when you are exercising you get some sunshine if possible - as soon as we get the all clear from our Bowen association I’ll be opening . Until then - let’s hope the curve keeps flattened . I’m sharing Some flash backs of what I was doing on this day in 2017 - staying in Venice for 4 days .

07.01.2022 Ok so far 2020 has been that rather challenging year- I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in saying that . Like life changing . That’s putting it mildly -so I’m taking it week by week so I’m now back at work for the next two weeks so far . Keeping positive - lets keep supporting local, buy that coffee, holiday locally when we can . Don’t let those bodies deteriorate let’s prepare for an awesome next half of the year . I can’t wait to catch up . Thanks to the essential workers ...that kept going and thoughts to those that have experienced excessive turmoil and life changing events . Remember to be kind to others as well as to yourself . We can make it through this . Let’s call back our strength and spirit . Text me for appointments. Regards Sandie Some pics of Beautiful Queensland - after my quick trip there -

07.01.2022 Sometimes you just need soul food . My happy place - makes my heart sing - nothing beats the thrill of seeing proteas growing in the Cape mountains in their native land of South Africa - but buckets of proteas at Singleton Florist brought back happy memories of my homeland - South Africa . Thanks to the initiative of Casey helping out a grower sell their excess crop . I was more than happy to buy 2 bunches today . If you want to order for next week check out singleton florist Facebook page for any updates .

07.01.2022 Just spent a week on Lord Howe island. Beautiful outpost of NSW . Snorkelling and bicycling around this unique spot . I was able to track down my husband’s family connections - his great uncle originally owned the Somerset apartments . It’s hard to describe how unique this island is - it went into lockdown on Saturday so we were among the last tourists to stay there . A boat trip out to Ball pyramid is so magical , it’s just breathtaking and seeing all the sea birds is rea...lly special . At Neds beach you can fed the fish and it’s a little unnerving putting on your snorkelling gear being surrounded by all these fish . Turtles are usually always around , if you are especially lucky you might catch a Galapagos juvenile shark cruise past - it’s a bit scary seeing that in your view finder . . This is the home of Kentia palms- fresh seafood -a piece of heaven on earth - please think of visiting here when things get back on track they need us Aussies -they rely on tourism . According to our professional Bowen association , Bowen therapists have been closed down til the curve has been flattened unless we have a Medicare provider number which I don’t have - most therapists don’t have one , so I’ll just keep on self isolating but feel free to message me if you have any problems and maybe I can think of some solution to get you out of pain . My thoughts are with everyone that has lost jobs , income and family . We are living in crazy times , filled with anxiety - uncharted waters . My deepest gratitude to those people carrying out essential jobs, police, truckers, shop workers and being an ex nurse - the workers facing the danger , nurses , drs - hospital auxiliary Cleaners etc. please take care of yourselves and stay home except for essential trips . Let’s keep flattening the curve.

06.01.2022 I would just like to let you know that I’m going into hibernation for the next few weeks . My bucket list trip to swim with blue whales in Sri Lanka was cancelled yesterday - I was due to leave on Wednesday. The whole month trip is cancelled -with useless travel insurance- that isn’t paying for a thing -(don’t start me on them )! I’m having a fat sulk for the next 24 hours and when I’m over that, I will be quietly retreating . (but the positive is that I have improved my ...well being with my swimming training of 20 x 50 m daily . ) I feel that’s it’s best to close - (well I was anyhow) from today til Easter . We are living in unprecedented times , keeping ourselves and each other safe during these times are important . Please keep safe, don’t go out if not necessary , support our local businesses where possible, send gratitude to the workers on the firing line- shops, hospitals, etc . Make sure you have enough meds and let someone know you are ok especially elderly. Keep taking deep breaths from the diaphragm. I have heard from reliable research that the virus doesn’t like quinine so I might be testing out the theory with a gin and tonic at night - aargh I hope that’ll flatten the curve but not me !

05.01.2022 Out of this world - the eclipse receding last night . I braved the cold

05.01.2022 I just wanted to let my valuable friends and clients be aware that I completed the covid safety certificate from government website in May . I keep updated from the Bowen association . I have a fantastic Aussie made hand sanitiser from Jingle bells gin distillery with lemon myrtle - feel free to splash it on before a visit . Everyone just loves it I highly recommend it . Each person has new linen and disposable covers replaced with each client . I have a 30 minute gap b...etween clients so I can clean the surfaces . I also have an Augien air purifier running the whole time. Please for any reason if you feel that you aren’t well , or are anxious about your health or risk of exposure or wish to cancel an appointment even at the last minute , I’m comfortable with that . I would rather we all did the right thing . Thank you for your understanding in these unique and awkward times . https://ginglebellsgin.com//calafea-hand-sanitiser-gel-1l-
