24.01.2022 With the lifting of stage 4 restrictions, we are now once again able to receive visitors to our hospitals for essential visits only. We thank the community for helping us keep our patients, staff and the wider community safe during these challenging times. More Information on visitation is available on our website: https://bit.ly/3jX0yFA

24.01.2022 On this day 57 years ago, Sandringham Hospital officially opened its doors, after 25 years of our community advocating and fundraising to build the hospital. Then-Governor of Victoria, Sir Rohan Delacombe opened the hospital, along with 3,000 people from our community. At the time The Sandringham News declared it to be the biggest outdoor gathering ever assembled in the city.

22.01.2022 We have extended the operating hours of our COVID-19 screening clinic. For the next two days the clinic will operate from 8am to 6pm. If you’ve visited any of the risk locations listed by the Department of Health and Humans Services you must get tested and isolate until you get a negative result. A full list of case locations can be found here: https://bit.ly/3o2QRqm

19.01.2022 If you have visited Sydney since December 11 and plan to visit Sandringham Hospital, please take note. On arrival to the hospital, all visitors will be asked whether they (or anyone they live with) have been in Sydney since December 11. If you have been to any of the places listed on the NSW Health COVID-19 case location list, you will not be permitted entry to the hospital. This list will be updated daily. Thank you for helping us to keep our staff and vulnerable patients safe. More on visitor guidelines: https://bit.ly/2WqVeiK Also a reminder that anyone with symptoms should be tested immediately. Our screening clinic is open 7 days. For more information on the screening clinic: https://bit.ly/3gWSHpO

18.01.2022 We want to hear from you! Our patients and community are the focus of what we do. We’ve created a short survey so you can tell us your ideas and suggestions for how we can improve services at Alfred Health. We’re developing our Patients Come First Strategy 2021-2025 - and we want to know more about what matters most to our patients and their families. This survey (link below), will take about 5 minutes and will help to form our next ‘roadmap’ for improving the experience of patients and families - https://bit.ly/3s2VuSJ.

18.01.2022 From tomorrow, visitors will not be allowed to our hospital unless permitted under special circumstances. This is in line with the reintroduction of Stage 4 COVID-19 restrictions, announced by the Victorian Government today. We know this will cause disappointment and we really appreciate your understanding during this difficult time, as we work to keep our staff and vulnerable patients safe.

18.01.2022 It's been a tough year, but we've (nearly) made it to the end. We wish everyone a safe and happy festive season, and we hope 2021 brings good things to all.

18.01.2022 Bryce is likely a familiar face to anyone who works at, or has recently visited our hospital. Our entry point screening team is always there to greet you with a smile - even if it is hidden by their mask. Thanks to this team for all their hard work in making sure everyone is safe when entering the hospital.

10.01.2022 From Saturday, January 23, the operating hours of the SACC Sandringham COVID-19 Screening clinic will be 9am to 5pm. Please note that the service will be closed for deep cleaning at 12.30pm for 40 minutes each day. More information: https://bit.ly/3sOZjvZ

09.01.2022 If you’ve worked at, or visited Sandringham Hospital, chances are you’ve met Nicole. Nicole stands out as a leader in our nursing family at Sandringham and is among the many inspirational women who have spent their nursing careers at our hospital. Nicole started work in our emergency department in 2002 and throughout her career she's had multiple leadership roles - as an After-Hours Coordinator and as part of our Operational team. During her time as nurse, she’s gained a weal...th of knowledge and experience that she’s used to help others. Nicole's visited Fiji’s Colonial War Memorial Hospital, Suva, with her colleagues many times, to help train their staff in basic life support skills and emergency triage. Now, in her new role as Nurse Manager for ward F2, she’s leading her team to make sure the patients who visit our hospital, get the support and care they need to get home. #internationalwomensday #inspirationalwomen #IWD2021 See more

07.01.2022 Wishing all our patients, staff, family, friends and community a very Merry Christmas! We hope you enjoy tomorrow with your loved ones. And a huge thank you to our staff for helping spread the Christmas cheer after such a tough year.

05.01.2022 This year tested us in ways that no one could have predicted. Everything, as we knew it, changed. Despite the frequent twists and turns, our staff worked hard to keep providing the best care possible to our community all while adapting and innovating to support our patients, and each other.

03.01.2022 From tonight, visitors will not be permitted in hospitals. We know this will be incredibly challenging for our patients, their families and carers, however these restrictions are in-line with advice from the Department of Health as Victoria begins a seven-day 'circuit breaker' lockdown to contain the current COVID-19 outbreak. Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation in helping us keep our staff and vulnerable patients safe....
