She is all about the LOVE and our SRB couples are always singing her praises as she guides them through exciting and major life milestones like weddings, christening and so much more. Cinzia’s happy place is standing in the middle of the ballroom planning and dreaming up how she can bring to life her clients event and vision. She is a natural people person so it is... of no surprise that she is loved by clients and suppliers alike. Always happy to have a chat and offer a helping hand in any situation. For our Cinzia family is at the heart of everything she does and you can see that in the way she talks about our clients and the experience they have with her. She knows the back story for every couple, their Great Nana’s middle name and the family dog her attention to detail is a reflection of both her and San Remo Ballroom. When you decide to host an event at the venue, you become part of the family and the rich history of one of Melbourne’s most iconic venues. We asked Cinzia one of her favourite memories from her 4 years at SRB and here is what she shared It would have to be my gorgeous wedding couple Daniel and Jana, we had so much fun bringing their vision to life. Working with the wonderful Renata and her talented team at @prolightandsound was such a delight. We spent days staring at the ballroom, throwing around countless ideas, measuring all areas of the space to help transform the venue into a unique setting. Not only was the focus on décor but also on the entertainment and delicious menu for their guests. From the custom made dancefloor and exquisite backdrop/overhead installations, to their 100’s of candles & lighting around the room, several pyrotechnic displays throughout the evening, their talented band with multiple Lebanese drummers.did I mention the food? Enndless dip platters to succulent marinated lamb and oven baked rockling to a trio of delicious desserts topped with a late night burger snack! Their goal was to create a memorable event for all, a fun celebration, an event to remember for years to come.and it was just that.

13.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN!! As you all know, on 17th February 2020, a fire tore through our beloved San Remo Ballroom. Whilst devastating, we looked for the silver lining and got busy making plans for the mammoth task to repair and rebuild. Today, just 16 months later, we are thrilled and delighted to reopen - bolder, better and more beautiful than ever!... Our refurbished venue is stunning. We have created a new entrance foyer with the original Terrazzo flooring and 1920s inspired light fittings. A modern curved bar dripping with brass accents that will take you back to the time of Gatsby parties. And the absolute pièce de résistance - the jaw dropping 6 meter wide waterfall chandelier hanging pride of place in the centre of our beautiful ballroom. That’s 7000+ crystals twinkling above your heads as you dance the night away, courtesy of our friends at @prolightandsound. It’s not just new furniture, paint, walls, floors and decor it’s a mood. A feeling of decadence, revival, timeless elegance and classic luxury. It’s a subtle nod to our heritage and a honour to our history, whilst being modern and welcoming to every and all future celebrations that will occur here. We couldn’t be more proud or more excited for this new chapter - and we want you all to see it for yourselves! 12.01.2022 2020 has certainly been a rollercoaster for us, starting when our beloved venue caught fire in February; and then Covid19 arrived, restricting Melbourne for the past 8 months. So it’s exciting to finally have some GOOD NEWS to share with you all... San Remo is thrilled to announce we have appointed the super talented and uber stylish Henry Sgourakis to help us bring our iconic ballroom back to life. A multi-skilled creative studio specialising in architecture, interior design... and furniture design; with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of old world charm fused with modern luxury, Henry has worked on many stunning residential and commercial projects around Melbourne. We cannot wait to see Henry’s vision raise our venue, quite literally, from the ashes. 09.01.2022 Eeek! We are so close to reopening we can barely contain our excitement! Only a few more days until we can enjoy a champagne at our new stylishly curved, brass accented bar and twirl under the 6m wide waterfall chandelier in the ballroom! Once open, we will be adhering to the mandated restricted guest numbers for the moment, but bookings will be available for viewings, micro weddings and tailored smaller events; and of course, you can secure your preferred date for when we are permitted to host full scale unrestricted weddings again.
