25.01.2022 This client from Liechardt requested her air conditioner be installed in a niche above her fridge. Whilst it presented some problems, we worked around them, and the end result speaks for itself.

23.01.2022 With Winter upon us, it is important to do a couple of things to get your air conditioner heating efficiently. 1. Switch from Cool to Heat on the Controller. Youd be surprised how many service calls we attend to with the client not switching the modes over. In their defence, sometimes the "Sun" Symbol and "Snowdrop" Symbol look similar. In winter we want the Sun symbol or HEAT. 2. Clean your Return Air Filter. It is extremely important on Heating that the Return Air Filter i...s clean, if not the air conditioner can overheat and trip out. Remove the return air filter and hose through. Allow to dry before reinstalling. 3. Close up your house. Close windows and door to rooms that are not being conditioned. If you have curtains installed, also pull them shut. This will help concentrate the heat where it is required and eliminate the cold from outside entering this heated space. If it still is not heating, it may be time to call a qualified Air Conditioning Technician. See more

22.01.2022 We are really happy with the how the installation of these three Daikin Split Systems turned out, in an AirBNB in Darlinghurst. With the hot humid conditions we have been experiencing of late, I am most certain we arent the only happy ones.

21.01.2022 "Would you like a coffee?" Take it from me, Tradespeople love it when they get asked this question. When offered, I rarely decline, which is sometimes an issue when Im attending my fourth job of the day with three coffees already under my belt #hotflushes.... Sharing a coffee/tea with your tradesperson is much more than purely having a drink, the dynamics between tradesperson and customer are shifted, conversation flows and I feel like a welcomed guest in your home. So next time you have a tradesperson over dont drink a coffee in front of them, ask the question.... you might both benefit from the experience. P.S. Better still is when the coffee is accompanied with some biscuits or cake #timtams Oh yeah, thatll win them over, every time

20.01.2022 Even your air conditioner feels the cold!! With these cold mornings we are experiencing at the moment, the condenser unit (the part outside) will likely ice up and operate less efficiently. If there is frost on the ground, there is a good chance that your condenser will be "frosting" up too. To remove the ice, the air conditioner changes over to cool mode so that the hot gas, that was warming up the air in your house, is now running through the unit outside to melt the ice. T...his is called the "Defrost Mode" and inside you will experience either no air, or cold air, depending on the age of your air conditioner. It generally should last for about 10 minutes. Unfortunately there is very little we can do to fix this. Make sure that the condenser unit has nothing hindering its air flow, to prevent air recirculation and most importantly.... make sure that your return air filter is clean, but more on this later. If youre air conditioner is really struggling to heat up your house, then perhaps you could give it hand by rugging yourself up with a couple of extra layers. A friend once told me, they loved winter more than summer because it gave them an opportunity to wear more clothes. Now where did I leave that scarf...

19.01.2022 Want a cheaper alternative to condition every room in your house? Last week we explored the option of installing a Multi-head Split System, but sometimes the budget does not allow for that luxury. If money is an issue, and there is room for multiple condensors (outdoor units), individual Split Systems may be the answer for you!! ... The benefits of this kind of installation are; - if for some reason an outdoor unit does fail, there will still be air conditioning in the other rooms, which will not be the case with a Ducted or Multi-head Split System. - Some installations have the rooms so far apart, that to run the interconnecting pipes and cables back to the one Condensor is just uneconomical. - Individual Split Systems can be installed at different times in your life, when money allows for them. - each split system can cool or heat, independent of what the other split systems are doing. 17.01.2022 This week at Sapphire Air Conditioning we have reached new heights, literally. When asked if could fit a Dometic Air Conditioner we answered "Sure, no problem". It wasnt till later in the conversation that we were informed the Dometic would be on the top of a Leibherr Tower Crane!!! There were a few tense moments, but thanks to us, there is now one very cool crane driver.

14.01.2022 A job with a view! We had the privilege of supplying and installing this Daikin split system in to an apartment at Potts Point. One must feel sorry for the people in the apartments below, they had million dollar views until someone went and parked their boat right in front of them.

13.01.2022 Is a Multi-head Split System the right system for you!? Whilst a ducted system is an ideal method to condition every room in your house, in this instance, a second storey and a raked ceiling made installing a ducted system a logistical nightmare. 11.01.2022 Not being afraid to travel for work, we found ourselves on a little road trip this week. We loaded up the truck with four Samsung Split systems and headed up the Coast. In Gosford/Wyoming, we installed two, then travelled up further, to Nelsons Bay, to have the other two installed. As much as I would like to report that the fishing was great at Nelson Bay, the honest truth is that the weather gods were not kind to us, so the boat remained on the trailer the whole time.

09.01.2022 We are rather proud of this installation in an apartment at Rose Bay. The client did not wish to see the pipes on the inside but also wanted the indoor unit to be centrally located in the room. In an effort to always try and give the customer what they want, we chased the pipes in the wall, but the real magic was running the pipes in the cavity rather than penetrating through the sliding glass door once we got to the outside part. It took a little bit of a struggle, but well worth it.

Now that we are entering our 14th year of supplying, installing and servicing Air Conditioners, we feel its time to create more of a presence in society. Firstly, we kick started our Facebook page, so you can get a grasp of the quality work of we attain to. Secondly, we are in the process of sign writing our vehicles, so we have some identity in the community. I hope you are as excited as we are to see where this journey will lead us.
