29.04.2022 Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and happy summer break I will be working on the 2022 timetable over the next two weeks. Please let me know if you will be returning next year as some of our classes are already filling up quite fast with new enrolments. 22.01.2022 A MASSIVE congratulations to our senior student Breanna Cole who has officially been accepted to study a Diploma of Performing Arts at Transit Dance in Melbourne next year! Bree has worked incredibly hard for this opportunity and absolutely smashed her audition I am soo proud and very grateful to have watched Bree grow into the dancer she is today and am very excited to see her future success. A true role model for our aspiring dancers at SCD. Well done xx

21.01.2022 Happy International Dance Day Welcome to Term 2! Cant wait to see everyone in our online lessons this week

21.01.2022 Great News! Less then 2 weeks until we can return back to normal classes As of 13th June all dance lessons are able to resume in NSW. I am beyond excited! Some slight changes will have to be made to some of our lessons as there is a 10 student limit per class. More info to come in the next few days... stay tuned x

21.01.2022 Dear Sapphire Coast Dance students and parents, I would like to reassure you all that SCD is fully operational! There have been no changes made to our current schedule and all lessons will run as normal. This decision has been made following the governments current recommendation that all schools should remain open. We are taking this matter day by day and are staying up to date with the rapidly changing situation. Any changes to our class schedule will be communicated immed...iately. We take the health and safety of our students very seriously. In response to the current outbreak of Covid-19 we are taking the following precautions: Students are to remain at home if they are sick/unwell Students are to wash hands before and after class and/or use the hand sanitiser stations available Cleaning of Barres and other used surfaces after each use if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. stay safe, Angela

19.01.2022 Our term 1 classes have commenced this week! after a crazy start to the year we are 100% ready to get back into the full swing of things. 19.01.2022 Great afternoon at the Pambula Melanoma Awareness Day in memory of Tracey Beasley. Congratulations to our 18 performers who all danced beautifully. What a fantastic community event

18.01.2022 Due to the new government regulations surrounding Covid-19 all dance classes at Sapphire Coast Dance will be temporarily suspended. I am very saddened by this outcome however I do believe that it is in the best interest of all students and their families at Sapphire Coast Dance. It is uncertain how long the closure will last however I am in the process of organising online classes/activities for my students. Please stay safe everyone! We will get through this. Love to all! 17.01.2022 Adam Donaldson has once again taken some awesome action shots of our performance this year.

17.01.2022 During this quarantine period I felt powerless for quite sometime, and a few weeks ago while sitting on my balcony with Euka Sagues Abad we thought it would be ...a cool idea to curate a show for our neighbours. Today, together with Det Kongelige Teater, the idea came alive, and with a few musicians, an opera singer, and two actors, the Royal Theatre was alive and well in our courtyard. Watching my neighbours enjoy the show from their balconies, truly felt like we were together, while being apart. A big thank you Alison Smith and everyone that made this possible, I feel very grateful. See more

16.01.2022 Such a fantastic day performing for the Pink Up Merimbula fundraising event This wonderful group of students performed several times around Merimbulas main street entertaining the shoppers with their flash mob dance. They managed to raise $150 xx

10.01.2022 What an experience that was! After 10 weeks of teaching online I can happily say that today my love/hate relationship with Zoom has come to an end. I am so grateful that we had the technology available to be able to move all of our lessons online on such short notice. We were even able to have some of our former students participate in online classes despite living hundreds of kilometres away! Thankyou to my beautiful students that powered through and continued learning ...online. Your enthusiasm and dedication to dance is what kept the ball rolling and I am so proud of all of you! What an achievement to be able to continue doing something you love despite having several barriers put in the way! I would also like to say a big thankyou to all of the dance mums, dads, brothers, sisters and even pets who had to give up living room space and furniture (for the make-shift ballet barres) most afternoons. I even enjoyed having some of you take part in my lessons. At the end of each zoom class it became a tradition to take a group photo. Soo after many weeks I have quite the collection! I have also received lots of videos and pictures that have been sent in from home. Instead of keeping them to myself I thought I would put together this video to document our experience as a dance school during this crazy time. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to share. 05.01.2022 To answer some of your questions on when we are able to go back to normal lessons: Although the restrictions surrounding Covid-19 have slightly eased, ALL dance schools in NSW are still legally required to remain closed. This includes all indoor private and group lessons. Our classes will continue to run online until the restrictions are further eased (stage 2 of the 3 step Covid safe Australia). The online timetable has been modified so that all students that are attending school can also join these lessons. Parents will be notified of these changes. I would also like to say a huge Thankyou to my students for continuing their dance classes online. I know its not easy but everyone is doing a fantastic job Hopefully not too long before we can get back to the studio x
