22.01.2022 For my 18th birthday my dad gave me a toy cow and said that he would exchange it for a stud charolais heifer when I found one. We went to the southern charolais breeders sale in vic and purchased RELBIA PARK AILSA (P). She was halter broken in calf and from Tasmania. Not long after ailsa came home, dad died in a plane crash, she was his last gift to me therefore holds a special place in my heart. Ailsa is still on the farm 10 years laster , turns out she is homo polled and ...is very good to flush. She is a good deep bodied cow and in 2014 ? 16.01.2022 I don’t have much to give so at this point I am donating 50% of all paintings sold from this point forward to the drought relief charity or go fund me of your choice! As a farmer and an Australian Drought is something that Is always at the backs of our minds but it’s something that is really affecting me at the moment mentally, there are so many giving hearts out there, but it seems we are all still struggling. If there is anyone out there that needs a chat please let’s talk...! We all loose so much- We are paying 6 to 20x more for crap hay than it’s worth. Abortions, premature and skinny cows and more importantly the loss of the smile and the glint of hope in our eyes. Our cows coats dull and calves listless. - and we have it good in this drought! I have decided that any paintings sold in the foreseeable future 50% will be donated to a charity or farmer of your choice, the other 50% will go to my farm, feed and cattle! You will receive proof of transfer! The mental strain this has on a farming community is just painful! Please share my page sapphire Halliday artist! I will also be accepting orders for placemats and coasters that I’m getting made up! Please share so I can do my bit for all my friends and cattle breeders out there!
10.01.2022 This makes my heart sing! This is the painting hanging in its new home! This painting raised $1600 to go towards mental health focusing mainly on youth and under 30's in the central west district! Mental health is a struggle! But can be overcome and treated if you have the right and timely support! I was told that this painting had the most bidders on it during the night! -that is just so beautiful! Well done everyone!
