22.01.2022 I’ve been so absent from my social media accounts. Lockdown and a pretty hardcore, restrictive gut healing journey has left me feeling rather flat and uninspired. It’s felt a lot Groundhog Day, which I know everyone has been experiencing, it so rough right now, isn’t it?! But with the first signs of spring came optimism, hope and the birth of a new idea. 21.01.2022 A few evenings ago the girls were being a little wild and distracted from eating dinner... and it was their favourite, spaghetti bol! My husband sat down and fed them, spoon by spoon. I’d noticed a few other things that day about his parenting, he was softer, seemed lighter and had more patience. Later that night he told me about a general conversation he’d had with one of his clients the day before. This particular clients children were older and he said to Chris, I kno...w it’s a crazy time when they’re young but make sure you cherish every single moment, they grow up so quickly. This is something I need to remind myself daily, because some days can be so bloody difficult and draining and you get sick of the sound of your own voice! So mumma if you’re having one of those days, take a deep breath and hug those babies a little longer, they’ll be young adults before we know it. www.sarahfrankphotography.com

18.01.2022 This week it really hit me how quickly these early, beautiful, slow days go by. Those days when you’re needed every minute of every hour, you’re sleep deprived and running off caffeine and love and you haven’t managed to do anything else but keep your clan alive. When you’re in the thick of it it’s consuming and feels never ending. 14.01.2022 The mornings are getting lighter and the days are getting warmer. My boronia bushes are flowering, the scent is deliciously sweet and reminds me that spring isn’t too far away. My soul is craving road trips and adventures to places I haven’t been before. Instead I sit and day dream about the day we can roam free and live as we were meant to. I’m all for doing what we need to do to control COVID but I’m beginning to wonder if we are doing it the right way. People are suffer...ing, really suffering. Their mental health, their businesses and livelihoods are crashing down around them. Their has been more people take their life due to COVID than COVID has killed. Why isn’t the news reporting those numbers rather than new COVID cases and deaths? I struggle with this world.

04.01.2022 Lockdown has given me time to stop and look at my business and it’s relevance to the type of work that has my heart, it’s no secret that Family Photography is so sacred to me. With Motherhood at the centre of why I document, I have created a beautiful space in which we can celebrate everything that is motherhood and the crazy beautiful journey. As a mother I understand that outdoor shoots aren’t always appropriate and we often worry about the state of our homes and feel that ...that aren’t put together enough for a photo shoot. My natural light studio is place for you to come, leave the stresses from home behind and just be present with your babies.
