24.01.2022 This could be a nice prize for you runners and Hoka wearers!

23.01.2022 This is an issue that us podiatrists routinely deal with. Many people feel a huge and instant relief after having painful callus/corns removed. Its a pain free treatment too in most cases. A podiatrist can help!

23.01.2022 This looks like a fabulous program to help families with toddlers embark on a healthy lifestyle in terms of diet and activity. Ive enrolled my son and I hear there are a few places left...

22.01.2022 Time for new running shoes? Heres a guide to whats involved.

22.01.2022 Coming into winter sports season, Im seeing a bit of this coming into the clinic again. A very common problem in active children, education is key in the management of it. Below is a very good resource outlining the current evidence. Your podiatrist can help in the diagnosis and management of Severs disease / calcaneal apophysitis. ... Its all about MANAGING LOAD and addressing any biomechanics that may be contributing. After school / evening appointments available. https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au//condit/severs-disease

20.01.2022 This is a helpful resource to help us remember just how important our mental health is and what we can to do prioritise it for ourselves and the ones around us

19.01.2022 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, patients are advised to take the following advice on board. Call me if you have any queries on 9798 7423. After the 27 March I will be scaling back to working Mondays only. I ask that if your podiatry appointment can wait, that you consider putting it on hold, so we can protect the vulnerable members of our community. Stay home if you can. Please follow the guidelines around social distancing, consider waiting in your car or outside if you are e...arly for your appointment. We, in the clinic, are following all the infection control guidelines issued by the health department and the Australian Podiatry Association at this time.

18.01.2022 I am continuing to have problems with my iinet phone line since moving my home office. They are unable to divert calls to my mobile at present. Please use 0421450987 if you need to get in touch. Alternatively you can email [email protected] or Message this page. My apologies for any inconvenience.

15.01.2022 UPDATE I have made the difficult decision to close my clinic for all routine podiatry and musculoskeletal problems, given the current situation. I know that this will be an inconvenience to some of you, but I have made the decision with the safety of our community in mind. I am happy to talk on the phone and give advice to any of you who need advice on foot conditions or reviews of your conditions that have been diagnosed already. I will, on a case by case basis, consi...der treating patients with acute problems such as infections, ingrown toenails, wounds or pre-ulcerative corns / callus etc and high risk clients. Screening will take place prior to these appointments to ensure you meet criteria and that clients or myself and clinic practitioners are not put at risk. The big message at the moment is stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out and I hope that my move will help to encourage this in our community. I will reassess the situation in 3 weeks and make a decision on how to move forward from there. Patients with upcoming appointments will be contacted individually. Alternatively if you have an appointment you wish to cancel, please e-mail me at [email protected] Wishing our community health, strength and hope through this unprecedented situation. Stay home and stay well everyone.

14.01.2022 Plantar warts can be painful! They are a common complaint, especially in kids/teens. The evidence shows salicylic acid is an effective treatment and much less painful than cryotherapy. Warts are one of the many conditions diagnosed and treated by podiatrists. #evidencebasedpractice #wartsandall

13.01.2022 Who loves a good podcast? This is a fab chat about the pros and... well... pros of starting excercise at a more mature stage of life. Its never too late, but its probably a good idea to talk to a Podiatrist or Physiotherapist (or both) to give you some guidance if exercise is something thats new to you. Also, happy Foot Health Week!

11.01.2022 Things have been quiet on the sports injury front for us of late, but I have a feeling that this will increase again once sports return to normality. Its easy to jump straight into it, but ensuring your body is up to the demands of your sport is so important in the prevention of injury. The Australian Physiotherapy Association have put together a nice set of short videos on this topic. Here is one I generally see a lot of, both acutely and much further down the ...track. https://m.youtube.com/watch I can help discuss the prevention and management of lower limb injury, working along with physio and coaches where necessary. Get in touch if you need some advice

11.01.2022 Prevention is better than cure! Dont let those foot and ankle problems drag out. A podiatrist can help you understand the issue, manage it, and in many cases solve the problem.

11.01.2022 Coming up to foot health week, I thought it might be a good time to get the ball rolling with my Facebook page. Many people still seem to be a little confused about what us Podiatrists actually do! Here is a link to the Australian Podiatry Association website, which tells you just that. From my point of view, I do my best (often working along with other health professionals) to keep people moving, active and on their pain-free feet! https://www.podiatry.org.au/foot-/foot-health-week-2018/fhw

10.01.2022 Update Roadmap to easing restrictions in WA. I’ve been back up and running in Donnybrook every Thursday and some other days by appointment. Home visits / mobile podiatry also by appointment, in the Bunbury and Donnybrook regions. Precautions are being taken in line with government advice around infection control. If you have any respiratory symptoms whatsoever, we ask you to postpone your appointment until you are well. Please arrive at your appointment time (not too... early, to avoid waiting area congestion!) and observe physical distancing, where you can, when you come to the practice. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. Call 97987423 or txt 0421450987 for an appointment.

08.01.2022 Thank you to the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons for a fantastic seminar on Saturday. During these talks and workshops we covered how foot and ankle surgery integrates with podiatry in clinical practice. We covered a lot on post-operative and injury rehabilitation as well. Its always good to refresh and learn new things, while keeping up with recent research in our area... Of course its nice catching up with my Pod colleagues too

07.01.2022 It seems Im having problems with my phone line. If you cant get through on the land line, please contact me via mobile: 0421450987 or a message. Many thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

06.01.2022 Heres one to get the conversation started! (From my highly regarded podiatry colleague across the continent, Craig Payne.) Do you intend on making a New Years resolution to increase your exercise? Do you have a practical, incremental training program in place? ... Is the footwear you have appropriate for the activity and YOUR feet? These are all questions a podiatrist can help you with. If you would like to make an appointment, give me a call on 9798 7423. Consulting from Donnybrook, Mondays and Thursdays. See more

04.01.2022 Did you know I can provide home visits in the greater Bunbury area, to patients who cant make it to the clinic? 9798 7423

03.01.2022 This is a fab little video about how we can sustain an injury. Anyone who has been to see me, will know that Im big on this and I never look at orthoses/biomechanical intervention as a first resort unless they are absolutely necessary. Its all about balance. Enjoy

03.01.2022 NEW DEVELOPMENT! I have put together a (very basic) website! This is still a work in progress, but the main function is a link to my on-line bookings page. This is an exciting development for Sarah Grant Podiatry and gives you the ability to book your own appointment. I'm trialling this system for a few weeks during school hours, 3 days a week, but if you need an appointment outside these times please get in touch and I will do my best to accomodate you.... Here's the link! www.sarahgrantpodiatry.com See more
