In this instance, we started with the artwork and picked out colours that we could work into the room and the decor. The devine green armchair brings a pop of colour against the stripes, and the hide helps to ground it as well as tie in the sitting area to the bedroom. 07.01.2022 This bedroom was created on the tightest of budgets. I used all existing furniture and decor, threw in some gifts from nature and tied it all together to create a calming, feminine bedroom on a shoe string. Our hopes for beautiful hardwood floorboards under the old carpet were quickly dashed - the floor was so badly damaged we had no option but to replace it or paint it. Of course, painting was far cheaper and allowed the project to come in on budget (did I mention it was ti...ght??!!) and it looks awesome. I love to use linen where and when I can in my interiors - it's a natural textile that comes from the fibres of the flax plant (and as you all know I love anything natural), it's cool in summer and so cosy in winter, dries faster than cotton......and looks heavenly.
