24.01.2022 When you're just not feeling it...

24.01.2022 Don't forget to look up on Monday night! Jupiter and Saturn are set to align on December 21 to create a once-in-a-lifetime 'Christmas star'. This event, know...n as a great conjunction, happens about once every 20 years, but closeness of the two planets makes this a very rare conjunction. With only about a 10th of a degree separating the two planets that's a fifth of the width of the Moon this is the closest they will have appeared in the sky to each other in nearly 400 years. The last time it occurred was in 1623. Assuming the weather is clear, you'll be able to see the spectacle with the naked eye, about an hour after sunset. But be quick - it'll only be visible for an hour or so before disappearing below the western horizon. (Please note: This is the view from the Northern Hemisphere. Being in the Southern Hemisphere the view would be the opposite, with Jupiter on the left and Saturn on the right.) Full story: http://ab.co/34pXGuh

20.01.2022 I spent yesterday afternoon with this awesome extended family on their 10 acre property in Beautiful Moorina. It was lots of fun, there were mini ponies, a misbehaving flame tree, huge African Mastiffs who are absolutely adorable and three generations of family with gorgeous little Izzy being the youngest. 19.01.2022 I’ve been quiet on here of late. I’m still shooting, editing and delivering galleries to clients, but wanted I to check in. Recently, our beautiful boy Jasper left us. This has been incredibly hard for all of our family, but in particular for me. He’s been by my side for 12 years and all of a sudden he’s not here anymore. He was the most amazing dog and such a big part of our family. I’ll forever miss his happy face, his soft ears and fluffy feet. The way he barked at the va...cuum, woke me up at night over the last few months, chased hoses and ran along the beach with such joy. The way he snuggled at the end of the day, talked to me everyday when I walked in the door, joined in my singing, sat on a blanket next we whilst I read in the sun, let me cry into his fur and be with me when I knew he needed him. He’s been there fo so many ups and downs over the years and was always there. We miss you so much beautiful boy. See more

17.01.2022 PRIME PLANET-SPOTTING OPPORTUNITY If you don't mind getting up early tomorrow (July 17) you'll get the chance to see a very special planetary event. Sir Tho...mas Brisbane Planetarium curator Mark Rigby said four planets will be visible in the sky from 4:30am. Venus & crescent moon - look to the horizon in the east/northeast Mars - look high in the sky to the north (it'll have a slight orange/pink colour) Jupiter & Saturn - look to the horizon in the west/northwest Mr Rigby said the planets should be visible with the naked eye for the next few days, and a fifth will become visible on July 19. "If you're looking at 5:45am you might also see the crescent moon next to Mercury. That's going to be harder but it's still achievable if you have a fairly unobstructed view of the horizon over where the sun is eventually going to rise." : Mark Coleman | @brizzypix

07.01.2022 Last weekend I got to spend the afternoon with this gorgeous family at the Canungra Army Base on the Gold Coast Scenic Rim. Belinda, Dennis and the kids have spent three years there and are soon heading over to Singapore for Dennis' new posting. They wanted to capture some special memories of a place that they have called home and fell in love with over the last three years. I love that they chose to have their session at a place that had such special meaning to them all.

06.01.2022 Sunday afternoon was spent with this beautiful family in some pretty light with lots of native flowers and some gorgeous little spots along the walkway. It's always nerve wracking photographing another photographer, but I love how these turned out. <3

06.01.2022 The cutest first birthday and family session this afternoon for little Sage. We finished just as the rain started to fall! This is the third time I have photographed this beautiful family. I photographed them in Gladstone when we were neighbours, last year when Sage was born and they lived in Toowoomba and this year that they are now living in Beerwah. It's so special to be able to photograph their memories and watch their family grow. It's pretty cool that I have been living and around in the same places they have at the same time. Cathy Walters
