07.05.2022 This week we started our garden. The children joined in every step of the way. They enjoyed patting the dirt down around the plants the most. They took turns watering them and checking on them throughout the rest of the day. And even though it's SO tempting to pull them out, we're going to try our hardest to leave them be :)

10.04.2022 Today we made a campfire/cubby house under the table. We gathered some rocks and sticks from the back garden area and placed them together, using bluetac to keep them in place, creating our awesome campfire. We then talked about what we could use for the pretend fire... we discussed using colored paper or felt or maybe we even just start a real fire inside - Charlotte In the end we decided on using fairy lights to create our fire glow.... We talked about fire safety and what to do in the event of a real fire. We discussed emergency numbers to call if ever needed or which neighbors to go and alert. We role played different scenarios and also discussed what to do in the event of miss lacey being injured or unconscious and what steps to carry out if that ever were to happen. The children had lots of questions and suggestions during our discussions and were confident in role playing the different scenarios. We continued to add to our camping area throughout the morning and the children had fun playing together and discussing what adventures we could go on next.

20.01.2022 Today we went on a nature treasure hunt. We looked for *orange flowers *purple flowers *pebbles and rocks, *butterflies and *different shaped leaves The children enjoyed exploring their environment and discovering and discussing all of the awesome treasures we found along the way.
