25.01.2022 A special "Thank You Night" night by Sarina Lions Club for all the volunteers who gave there time throughout the year to help at our events, we could not have done without your help. Also donations were given to show or appreciation. It was a special night for our member Lyn Stratton whom received a 10 year Chevron.



24.01.2022 Sarina Lions club donated Lions Care Teddy Bears to the Mackay Base Hospital Children's Cancer Ward.

20.01.2022 Sarina Lions Club on 13th December 2020 hosted a combined Zone Meeting and Christmas Party for the Lions Clubs in Zone 10. On behalf of the Sarina Lions Club I like to thank all the different Lions Club for making this a great day.

12.01.2022 Early this morning I received a telephone call from Merv Petersen; whom was for many years a member of the Sarina Lions Club before moving to Cairns; Merv asked me to pass on the sad message that his dear wife Dot passed away on the 23th of December. Dot gave a lot of her time to our club in many different ways. May you Rest In Peace.



10.01.2022 Finally we are catering again at the markets, our members got quickly used to the new rules and regulation because of COVID19. It was good to be interact with our community again. Also like to thank our patrons for their patience because of the new rule and regulation.

08.01.2022 Last night our club held a social meeting to farewell two of our members whom due to their work are re-locating down south. Kim and John we wish you both all the best for the future. Also as of May 2021 our club will only have one meeting per month, which will be held on the First Monday of the Month.

06.01.2022 Inter club visit Mackay Northern Beaches Lions Club, President Tammy presented Sarina Lions Club with owl which we will pass on to another club we will visit. Tammy also won the Melbourne Cup race. Great fun was had by all.

03.01.2022 Sarina Lions 42nd Annual handover dinner. Awards included: Ron Gurnett - Melvin Jones Fellow award for his contribution to Sarina Lions Club and Sarina Community; Cindy Bailey - Melvin Jones Fellow award for her contribution to Sarina Lions club and Sarina Community (Cindy is an Apexian but is an enormous help to Sarina Lions); Lion of the Year: John Mohr; Presidents Appreciation Award - Maria Pickworth. As the outgoing President I wish Maria all the best as the incoming President.
