23.01.2022 Steve Lee is not only a multiple Olympian, super talented skier, businessman and fantastic bloke, but also a significant supporter of the South Australian Interschool Snowsports Championships. It is not uncommon to see Steve take time out of his day to support our racing and also act as the guest of honour and presenter of our race trophies and awards when we are in Falls Creek. As a South Australian Snowsports community, we send our best wishes for a seamless recovery to Steve as we embrace him, his family, friends and the Falls Creek community in our collective thoughts and prayers. If you wish, please leave your comments at the bottom of this post and we will ensure these messages get to his family.

21.01.2022 We are greatly saddened by the news of 2018 Winter Olympian Ekaterina ‘Katia’ Alexandrovskaya's passing in Moscow last night. Katia with partner Harley Windsor ...made history as Australia's first World Champions, claiming the Pairs Skating World Championship in 2017 and were also the first Australians to win an ISU event, before making their Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018. Katia will be remembered as a gifted skater who was determined to be the best she could be and a young person of enormous potential. Our thoughts are with her family, Harley, friends, teammates and the figure skating community. RIP Katia
15.01.2022 Good morning South Australia Snowsports community and happy long weekend to you. A month ago, you may recall that we posted news about a long time friend of the SA Interschools and 3 time Winter Olympian, Steve Lee. Time has passed since the original stroke that Steve suffered and the side effects of the stroke have set quite the challenge in moving forward for Steve and his family. As you will note from the post below from the 'Steve Lee Support Tribe', whilst Steve has no lack of love and support from around the globe, willing him forward, he could now benefit from our financial support too. Please read the post below, share it far and wide and look after one of our biggest supporters of the SA Interschools Snowsport Championships. We thank you in advance for looking after one of our own.

09.01.2022 Good news for the alpine regions with the government green light for a snow season. We watch with interest as South Australia's border remains on lockdown. Falls Creek Resort today posted: Further information specific to Falls Creek Resort will be released on the Falls Creek website soon, including when resort entry will be available to purchase and how to do so online.
08.01.2022 News just in from Vail on Falls Creek and Hotham ski resorts. We hope everyone at the resorts and in Victoria stays safe. Vail Resorts today (August 4, 2020) announced it will not reopen its lift operations at Hotham and Falls Creek for Spring skiing following the Victorian Government announcement of Stage 4 restrictions for Melbourne and Stage 3 restrictions for regional Victoria for six weeks, amidst continuing challenges associated with the spread of COVID-19.
