25.01.2022 "It is the INVERSE of Dr Who's Tardis - Big on the outside and small on the inside." DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION INFRASTRUCTURE - "Let's make it absolutely clear people of Doubleview 'The International School of WA' is small. It has a design capacity of 350 students, despite what the plans show, despite what has been said, despite what is approved for the same number of classrooms at City Beach and despite of all evidence to the contrary. This School ISWA is the INVERSE of Dr Wh...o's Tardis - Big on the outside and small on the inside. We will spend $22million on this private school that consists of building and relocating it for absolutely no reason. This is a State Government commitment to Private Education! - Public Education can get stuffed!"

25.01.2022 For those that don't know much about the Doubleview Situation. Hon Alison Xamon MLC covers it here with background. 23.01.2022 The Clearing of Trees just goes on. (last Image) This small tree fenced is under City of Stirlings verge protection. In the plans the tree at this location was described as a 13.5m Tuart, unfortunately it was actually located elsewhere on the Education Departments land. City of Stirling confirms that and states "Desktop examination and site visits suggest that tree 113 as labelled on the plan from JDAP agenda 202 page 468 is incorrectly plotted on the plan, possibly due to... GPS error, as it is not a verge tree and sits within the property of the Department of Education." How many did they get wrong? Well never know. What we do know and pointed out - they mixed up species, counted a row of 4 trees as three, located two together when they were several metres apart etc. But they couldnt give a care.

21.01.2022 School Funding is Absolutely Broken at the Federal and State level. Look no further than the State Government funded $22million Private K-12 School ISWA build/relocation to Doubleview Public primary school site, which is a build relocation for no reason. While our public schools are crying out for funds for maintenance. This development sees Private Students allocated twice the land area per student compared to public students on the same site. ... The State is also paying for generous landscaping for this private school that no public school would ever receive. A total of 11500 plants and trees. Things need to change!

20.01.2022 Public family and dog places to go too are dwindling now plans are set to not welcome dogs at the doubleview primary school (public land), we need to keep onto the local government to improve our public space. Theyre planning a dog park in Carine so why not ask for a dog park in Doubleview south. We need one.... https://www.facebook.com/133233973449005/posts/1705512076221179/

17.01.2022 "(What we want) is that government starts listening and taking our concerns seriously." Sunsets Not Skyscrapers and Save Doubleview were among the dozens of community groups protesting at State Parliament today.

17.01.2022 "It is the INVERSE of Dr Whos Tardis - Big on the outside and small on the inside." 16.01.2022 An error was made when this was originally posted a couple weeks back.(The 20 Staff should have been 24) The message remains the same. How? And how much are we paying these senior people in the Education Department and their Consultants to present crap Planning Applications that get knocked back? The State has been deliberately trying to hide the size of this Development. Our Freedom of Information Request received this week shows the 8 Transportable Classrooms added to ISWA Campus at City Beach in 2013 were designed to accommodate 208 students and they are coming to Doubleview. ISWA was also expecting to have 539 Students in 2017/18 the 2013 forecast shows. This is before adding additional classrooms in 2014. So 26 classrooms certainly wont add up to 350 student maximum stated for ISWA in the planning applications.

15.01.2022 Hon Alison Xamon MLC - Keeping up the fight for Doubleview! Post rally statement at WA Parliament 07/11/2018. 15.01.2022 An additional 4 Cape Lilacs in this video were cleared on Friday. It was the favourite food of the Red Tailed Black Cockatoos who visited every summer. 15.01.2022 A Notice of Unintention - if that is a word...

13.01.2022 It is a week for Petitions - Doubleviews Below went to Legislative Council today + Sunsets Not Skyscrapers went to the Legislative Assembly Tuesday. Petition in OPPOSITION to the Relocation and Construction of the International School of Western Australia To the President and Members of the Legislative Council of the Parliament of Western Australia in Parliament assembled.... We the undersigned are opposed to the relocation and construction of the International School of Western Australia (ISWA) at the old Doubleview Primary School Site on the basis that the i) Public Money set aside for the $21.6 million ISWA capital works, associated costs for relocation and establishment costs is not authorised under the Schools Act 1999; ii) The planning applications for physical size and student capacity for ISWA in for the New Doubleview Primary(stage 1) and ISWA(stage 2) for the States like-for-like facilities for ISWAs relocation was 350 lower than the 600 stated publicly prior to the Planning Applications; which is supported by the fact that back in 2013 when ISWA had well over 300 students that it is stated that the purpose of adding 13 Classrooms was to increase their capacity to 600. We therefore ask the Legislative Council to support a motion that works on the old Doubleview Primary School site for the construction/relocation of the ISWA stop until the Solicitor General determines whether: i) The $21.6 million of Public Money set aside for ISWA capital works, associated cost for relocation and establishment costs is authorised under the Schools Act 1999; and ii) Whether the State continues to be obliged to move ISWA from City Beach to Doubleview given the Non-Legally Binding Commercial Lease Terms203 St Brigids Terrace Doubleview lapsed as out-of-time on 31 December 2017; and iii) A public inquiry should be conducted to determine whether the Doubleview facility and the current City Beach facilities are deemed to be like for like facilities given the Doubleview facility has been stated as a smaller student capacity than City Beach. And your petitioners as in duty bound, will ever pray.

08.01.2022 Why cant they(Govt) be honest about the size of this $22million Private School Development Relocation to Doubleview.
